Remember to check out Empire State Building and Rockefeller Plaza, two world-renowned attractions that bring in tourists from around the world. Go 40 kilometres southeast of Ramsey to Long Island City to see them.

Want a reason to visit Englewood? The Columbia University, the Apollo Theater and the Bronx Zoo are three great ones. They're all waiting for you just 25 kilometres away.

Sitting 95 kilometres to the southeast, Ocean Beach is a great place to while away an afternoon enjoying the sights and smells of the ocean. Robert Moses Beach is also home to some lovely views. You'll find this inviting shoreline 90 kilometres to the southeast.

You'll find a number of delightful natural attractions outside of Ramsey. Why not venture 40 kilometres to Ellis Island? Alternatively, take in the sights and sounds of Governors Island, 40 kilometres away.

Slip on some green and white and catch the New York Jets at their home turf of MetLife Stadium. Located 30 kilometres away in East Rutherford, you can also go and encourage the New York Giants.

Snow bunnies and powder hounds love staying in Ramsey, as it gives access to Hidden Valley Ski Resort and Woodbury Ski Area. Remember to layer up! These fields can get very chilly indeed.

Venture outwards and see what's going on in Allendale, 3 kilometres to the south. Many travellers come here for the Orchard Hills Golf Course and Fashion Center. Alternatively, Saddle River is 4 kilometres to the east of Ramsey. Stop at this place for easy access to the Rockland Community College and the Blue Hill Golf Course.

Whether it's for a bit of retail therapy or to take in the sights, locals and travellers alike often make their way to Ridgewood, 9 kilometres to the south. Paramus Park Mall, the Paramus Golf Course and the Fritz Behnke Historical Museum are all within a stone's throw. That said, make sure you don't pass up the Ciccone Theatre and West Side Presbyterian Church either.

Situated 40 kilometres to the southeast is LaGuardia Airport (LGA), the nearest terminal. Ensure you have plenty of time to get there.
