If you're coming in via Hongqiao International Airport, you'll need to pick up your luggage, hop into a taxi and head 25 kilometres west.

A good deal of this city's top sights are dotted near Qingpu, and the Tian Ma Country Club and Shěshān Basilica are two of the very best. After taking a look at those, you're going to want to continue on to the Yuanjin Buddhist Temple and the Cimen Temple. For a better perspective of this city as a whole, spend time in the nearby neighbourhoods of Zhujiajiao Ancient Town and Zhujiajiao.
