Overall it was a great experience, food was good and very friendly staff. The house keeping on the other hand wasn’t the best. The bed sheets were dirty and had stains. Also the pillows smelled and the bed decor had a bad odor.

Everything about this stay was "OK", I wouldn't say anything was bad. I also wouldn't say anything was good either. With a few exceptions the staff did their jobs, but they were not friendly and inviting. The food was OK, but again nothing outstanding. Lots of choices at the buffet you could always find something you would eat, but nothing that stood out. The drinks were plentiful but very inconsistent. Even if you ordered the same drink several times it was always different. The building/grounds/cleanliness were all OK as long as you didn't look to close. The dings and chips were everywhere. Bubbled paint from moisture. Outlets and fixtures that didn't work. Other than the Riu Party zone, the entertainment was lacking. They did something nightly to bring the kids on stage which was cute to a point but hardly entertaining to the adults, except maybe their parents. They have 3 pools, one with a volleyball net, one adults only with a swim up bar and a family pool that was a little larger. All 3 were crowded and it was sometimes hard to find a chair. No fun pool vibe or energy. I would not stay at this resort again and after this stay I'm hesitant to try any of the other RIU's

Beautiful hotel. We were at Riu Palace Punta Cana. It has one of the nicest lobbies we’ve seen. Food for the most part is very good. Luigi and Crystal were the best ones. Steakhouse not so great including service. Foam party was really cool. My kids loved the water park. Rooms are nice. Comfy beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good. If you are celebrating something, they decorate nicely. Definitely recommend. Thank you Riu!
