Overall the rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was always friendly. Beach was great besides the seaweed. Pool activies were always fun and entertaining but pool water was always hot which feels gross. Food was decent at the buffets but big negative is that reservations had to be made for the other resturants and not all are open on the same days. The food at the resturants were much better but all small portions.

la piscina deteriorada y mucho moho, no habian meseros alrededor de las piscina, para beber lo que fuera tenias que ir a la barra, mucha escases de servicios, la habitaciones con mucha peste a humedad y moho en las habitaciones, de viernes a lunes es imposible alcansar comida en el bufet, es restaurante especialisado de carne muy mala, todo estubo malo en general con ecceccion de algunos meseros en espesial jose el bactender de la piscina de relajacion

I’ve been to this location now six years in a row. I will say that the grounds are nice and the dining options are plentiful, and you must make reservations to enjoy anything other than the buffet for dinner. They have a small selection of shopping on site and transportation around the property, which helps. Dining options include, Teppanyaki, a steakhouse, Italian, seafood, Mexican, and plenty of dessert options. There’s a small café on site and a beautiful lounge bar. Where one of my favorite staff members Clara works in. She’s been greeting us warmly for the last 6 years. I will note that her level of kindness does not extend to the full staff. Some staff are rude and not welcoming and this has contributed to my rating unfortunately. I also think this will be my last year visiting this location based on this continue level of service.

This is a really bad vacation for my taste. Stayed here for 5 days and for the first time, I can't wait to go home. 1. as a all inclusive hotel, I cant believe there is nothing to eat. All resturants needed reservation (excluding the 2 small small buffet), and the reservations was basically all full. The buffet was super small, even the "big one" was small. The food was the same everyday and limited options. I saw repeated food in 4 different bowls around the buffet. There was a PUG resturant that didnt need reservations which served burgers/sandwichs, and I had no choice but to eat that. Room service (food) was not including in "all inclusive." 2. The staffs, 90% of the staff spoked really limited english, and as someone who doesn't speak spanish, it was REALLLY hard to communicate. So if you don't speak spanish, try to avoid this hotel. 3. Rooms. The rooms looked really nice in the pictures they provided, but in reality it was really "not the best." The mini fridge wasnt even working, there was 2 lights are were broken, and the shower was really dirty. Also we lived in the 2nd floor (3 floors in total) and the toliet was hard to flush. OVERALL, I dont hate it, but i DO NOT like it at all.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Grand Bavaro Princess. The suite was spacious and comfortable, although the fridge didn’t work, which was frustrating in the heat. After multiple attempts to fix it, the staff quickly responded by providing ice. We upgraded to Platinum and enjoyed the added perks. The resort grounds were beautiful—the beach was pristine and the pool areas were relaxing. Vendors could be a bit aggressive at times, but it didn’t overshadow the overall experience. The true highlight of our stay was the staff. They were attentive, accommodating, and absolutely top notch. Their friendliness and professionalism really made the difference. Food was another pleasant surprise. The buffet offered excellent quality and variety—honestly better than the restaurants on-site. We left feeling relaxed and happy, and we can’t wait to return.

The property was very beautiful. The food and drink options were good. My mid-level to low ratings are because of the room conditions. 1) One room had a foul/sour smell and although we were told someone was coming 3 times no one ever came. We slept one night in the room and packed our bags 1st thing in the morning until we were moved to a new room. Which through off our schedule for the day. 2) another room the toilet broke twice. Once the handle broke and the other it randomly overflowed. Again we had to take our bags to the front to be moved after asking to be moved twice. 3) The property is not elder friendly. 4) Once you check in their is a small desk on the way to the concierge desk that offers you a welcome breakfast and claims that all guests must go to the welcome breakfast. THIS IS FALSE AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR THE WELCOME BREAKFAST. This is a ploy to have you sit HOURS listening to them pitch you a timeshare. The "welcome breakfast" is the same breakfast that you have access to every day. They do not take no well when you tell them youre not interested.

My room was full of mosquitoes, the toilet didn't work i had to use a bucket and fill it up with water to flush the toilet. When i had reported this to the staff no one came to fix it. Many other rooms had similar situations, for example our family member had problems with the AC because it wouldnt turn on whatsoever and their shower was clogged and they had to sweep out the water. In general the hotel needs to do serious maintenence on the Bungalow Suites, nevertheless the food was good and the staff were very friendly.
