I was traveling with a group of two over 60 was included. We had high expectations of this place. We checked in fine however entering our rooms there was someone still staying there. Customer service gave us another room however nothing was working the fridge did not work. The bathroom door did not shut. And staines on the bed, and couch had dirt The customer service guy said sorry we have to wait for other rooms to open. 1 hour later we got 2 other rooms and it was the same deal dirty, stains, and no proper fridge. Smelled like mold and cracks were coming down from the ceiling. I took the time to finally locate a supervisor due to staff saying they can’t do anything. This young supervisor girl came out and said I’m so sorry we will look in getting you an upgrade. This is now 4 pm. Check in was 12. We have been sitting in a room for 4 hours already. The girl supervisor came said I’m so sorry we can’t offer you an upgrade however you can pay additional fees for the platinum package. I said no she said then you have to find a new resort it’s already at 5pm we still have not got our rooms. I did not fly there we drove for 4 hours. Can you imagine someone telling you that if you flew. Finally there was a customer said a gentleman in the blue shirt is the manager. Remember staff cannot tell you who the manager is. The manager finally was able to get us a platinum room however very moldy but doable, with no fees. However just the stay was horrible not a pleasant experience at all.

The food was very good although making reservations for special menus may be hard. The room wasn’t very clean. We found dust and hair and stained towels. They never picked our trash during our stay. The main pool was always very dirty. Never used it. The relaxing pool has no trees or shade around so it makes the pool very very hot and unpleasant. Hotel staff was efficient but often looked overwhelmed with the amount of tourist. Wouldn’t go back. Sorry!

I have stayed at this resort twice before. Once about 9 years ago and the other about 6 years ago. I came back a third, clearly because i enjoyed both previous stays. This time I came back with higher expectations as they recently renovated within the last few years so i was excited to see the changes. I’m beyond disappointed for a number of reasons. I’m not a person who wants or likes to be waited on like i’m royalty. My only expectations are to be treated kindly and for the room i stay in to be clean. On the 5th night of our stay we found a cockroach roaming around our bathroom. When i reported this to the receptionist, she did not seem surprised and called to have “special cleaning” done for our room. I have no idea what that entails, but our room was cleaned as usual and there were melted chocolate strawberries with gnats flying around them left from the day before so i’m not so sure there was any “special cleaning.” When we talked to another family staying here, they stated they have already killed 3 roaches in their room. Every time i’m in the room, i feel anxious another one is going to be crawling around. I’m disgusted. While some of the staff is smiling and kind, the others act like it’s a chore to bring water or coffee to the table. If there was water or coffee i could self serve myself, i would without hesitation. I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE to stay here. Unless they like to pay for rooms with roaches as their roommates

We were disappointed when we got to our room. The furniture was stained inside the room and in the patio. The mini fridge is not cold at all. Mosquitoes in the room. Robes were dirty looking- we didn’t use. The community pool was so dirty when we got there we did not get in. We stayed in the platinum pool. Buffets were not good. Dinner reservations were better. We booked excursions not to be at the resort
