The customer service representative at the front desk named Pamela was rude and didn’t help me with my issue with restaurant reservations, she had a bad attitude helping me , and the manager need to help me to resolve my issue. Additionally, Expedia does NOT mention any of the strict policies such as booking restaurant reservations 24 hours in advance and rules such as the pool and beach being off limits after 6:00 pm. The resort tried to have activities every night but usually it was just a dance with music which is not something everyone would enjoy. Beware of the sellers they are EVERYWHERE!! Ignoring them is the best you can do if you want to enjoy your vacation because they will not stop bugging you unless you ignore them. They try to scam you with fake “ discounts” and “ free gifts” or just help you out to try and get you to buy an excursion. The buffet and food trucks were amazing there were MANY options for all kinds of people even picky kids. The buffet does have very strict hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner which again were not told to me prior to booking this resort. The restaurants have decent food options and quick service. The pools were okay nothing special, the beach was nice but full of algae at the time I went.

I beg you not to waste your money on this resort! When you first arrive, things start off confusing with bell boys and it feels unwelcoming. Not 48 hours in we knew that we would never come back. Many of the staff is dismissive, acts bothered, and is at times outright rude.They don’t do a good job with explaining what all is included in your particular package, and they do not explain the other things that are important to know. The Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible around the whole property. Room service food is trash and is not free for non-platinum members. We were platinum, but we didn’t really feel like there was much special about it. The platinum pool area is very small and always packed. The main pool is dirty and needs maintenance. The cleaning ladies do a good job, but they are very loud out in the hallways and around the property with other staff members. They start yelling at each other at about 7 AM. The beach is filled with so much seaweed and really smells. There are so many sales people along the beach and they even come up to your chairs to sell you stuff. Even in the platinum area. Three out of the four of us got food poisoning and my husband spent about 3 1/2 days of our one week in our room. There’s not enough on site transport. You usually have to walk so you can make your restaurant reservation time. The Royal Holiday people drive around the property all day, searching for people to sell a membership to. They told us it would take an hour. It took 3.5!

The property is beautiful! We stayed in Platinum and it was worth it. Near the beach, rooftop bar and pretty much everything. I had heard people had issues with the tran-bus but we didnt have any problems. But I am a firm believer that if you look for negative you will find it. The propertywas so relaxing, the staff so friendly and I will definitely return.

Food at the A La carte restaurants were delicious especially the Italian restaurant. Service was impeccable. Lots of activities at the hotel for all ages. Entertainment team was great. The property is clean and easy to navigate. The service was great — the staff were amazing and accommodating, and unlike other hotels, they never asked for tips. However, the main pool was dirty and not well-maintained. Do not order room service, they will charge 10x what it costs. If you're thinking of getting married here, I would strongly advise against it. It's extremely expensive, and the wedding planning is very disorganized. The whole event felt rushed, and it was clear the hotel staff didn’t know how to properly handle weddings or parties. They need a lot of improvement in that area. My best friend got married here, and from the beginning, it was obvious the hotel had no idea what they were doing. Also, be aware: they will charge you for everything and won’t allow you to bring anything in. Everything must be purchased through the hotel.

My thoughts

The ambiance of the resort was amazing. It was so beautiful and the architecture was gorgeous. The rooms were clean and everything was comfortable. Overall, the hotel was great besides the food. The food was terrible, barely able to eat it honestly. The buffet is not good for any meal, not even breakfast. Then you can’t get a reservation for any of the restaurants because it’s fully booked and also sometimes the app won’t work to even book a reservation. If you’re going to stay here for atmosphere and overall look, then I’d definitely recommend. However, if you want to enjoy great food? Don’t do it, you would honestly regret staying here. Everyone in my vacation group got sick. Even 3 yr old babies didn’t want any of the food.
