The property itself is nice. Multiple pools and restaurants. The food is okay but I had to give two starts because I had a terrible allergic reaction to the all the black mold in the room. I had the junior suite and it was back mold all in the bathroom the walls the curtains. You can even seen the mold coming through the paint where they just continue to paint over it. The pictures on the walls had mold all over it. The mirrors as well. The rooms are nice but dated and need renovation ASAP. It’s a damp muggy feel in the room all your clothes will feel like that have been wet and are half way dry and will smell bad bc of the mold. I would say keep your items in your suitcase. Or just check the room before getting comfortable. I also had to deal with some racial slurs. I was called the N word while coming out of my room with my family. Someone said “wassup N****” I was really ready to go after that. The first time some guys where looking at me and another came up to them and was like “no we don’t do that she’s off limits all these women here and y’all are looking at her” that was crazy to say. All of the people vacationing were from different Spanish countries so very limited Black and white people. I would say if you’re looking for more diversity and a party place this is not the hotel for you and definitely for my Indigenous Americans. I hate that my stay was like this bc the hotel is really nice outside of the mold. I was switched to a VIP room my last night bc of mold.

We have been to this property multiple times. We like the beach. Lots of space to be either close to the noise/activities or far to relax and have a quiet day. The food was good, particularly at the Spanish and Mexican restaurants. However, The Steak house was terrible. Service was very poor (90 minutes to get our meal) and the food wasn’t good either. The golf course was in worse shape than in prior ocasions. They charged us US$85 for the golf cart which is outrageous, and the maintenance crew was interfering with players in multiple holes. On top of that, our cart died and we had to walk for a couple holes. We were invited to a meeting with management at the end of our stay to provide feedback. Great idea if they listen and act based in our comments

I wish i could give zero stars. The staff terrible zero customer service, they treat you like they are paying for your stay. The room was 15 min walking feom the beach, and i was staying with my 4 years old daughter. The bathroom shower was clogged and the first time i took a shower the whole bathroom was flooded, i requested a room change and it wasnt possible, i put towels on th floor to prevent to water to go to the rest of the room and when the housekeeping went to dry the floor they just put the wet towels with dirty water from the floor on the bed, oh and the shower walls full of mold, the tv didnt work, the sewer odor was coming from the bathroom the whole time, when i went for breakfast to hoyo 19 only two tables were busy, with 8 waitresses and i had to stand up after ten minutes becuase they didnt even give us water, and seriously i continue mentioning everything else one review won't be enough to describe the horrible experience. Food terrible too. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND ALSO BE CAREFUL IF YOU GO WITH YOUR KIDS BECAUSE MANY ADULTS COUPLE'S WERE HAVING SEX IN THE POOL AND ALSO IN THE OCEAN. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I liked the beach and location of the property. I disliked mostly everything else. I expected more out of a 5-star resort. We brought our daughter and were out in a suite with a king size bed. Which is fine but bedsheets, etc were not provided for the couch. Called front desk and concierge, no answer. Walked all the way to front desk to be told someone will drop them off. First night there was a party at the pool til 11:30pm. That’s fine I guess, but maybe don’t place families with kids in that area. Food was terrible. As if someone put in effort to make the food less appealing. Pizza with cheese? No! Let’s add onions, corn, and mystery meat. Chicken nuggets? None. Hamburger? Here is an old, stale, dry 5” deep bun to enjoy it with. Lobster bisque? Maybe stew water where they may or may not have boiled a lobster. Mystery queso sauce? No, peanut sauce! Without a single sign or warning of what it is. The only edible thing was the fruit. Everything else was mostly old, and somehow even when it came straight from the cook lacked any sort of freshness or taste. I regretted my decision within 30 min of arrival. The staff was not attentive and most of them didn’t speak English, though it was advertised that they did. The ones that did had basic grasp of the language. Somehow Sunday was ultra packed. Loads of people showed up that weren’t there on any of the previous days. Most were loading up food and taking it to go. I’m not sure if they were hotel guests or not.

Our experience at Hotel Bávaro Palace was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The resort facilities were top-notch—beautifully maintained grounds, a wide variety of dining options, and countless activities to enjoy. And the beach? Simply breathtaking—white sand, crystal-clear water, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. A huge shoutout to Emmanuel Portorreal for making our stay even more special. Emmanuel went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for guests truly stood out. He made us feel welcomed, valued, and taken care of every step of the way. People like Emmanuel are what make a great resort experience unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxury getaway with world-class service!
