Property looks/feels amazing after their renovation. Staff are fantastic adding to your experience, especially Milton (activities team) and Lalo (pool bar). Beach is beautiful and great for some wave action that isn’t too crazy. Will be returning again very soon!

My overall stay was wonderful except for one glaring problem. The pianist/singer at the lobby from 7pm to 8:30 pm was the most terrible I have ever heard. Annoying, tone deaf, noisy and most of all no talent. If he just played the piano and kept his mouth shut he might have improved. Could not stay in the lobby for a nice drink because of his terrible performance. He needs to be fired and the person who hired him also needs to be fired.

Everything was perfect, everything I’d expect from a newly renovated Riu resort. My only complaints would be that the wifi connectivity was quite poor, it kept cutting in and out and was overall a weak internet connection and did not cover across all areas of the resort. And secondly the service at the steakhouse restaurant was sub-par. There was a long wait time (2 hours) to get a table which we expected but once we finally got a table, it took another hour for our food to be served. The food also did not meet expectations. Otherwise, very happy with everything else!

The property was great . The buffet was good but the specialty restaurants were not good . So much salt that most meals there were awful. The entertainment at night was terrible. Not up to RIU s standards. The service to stock the mini bar was terrible. We had to ask many times to restock what we used . Compared to previous 10 RIU s I have been to I would rate this one the lowest of all

Second day someone threw up in the swim up bar. Last night being here, my lady got a veggie burger with NO mayonnaise but it ended up coming with cheese and nowhere on the menu it says that it comes with it. The waiter tried flipping it on her and get all in her face and we just decided to leave with that terrible service. His name was Rio or something like that. It was in the American Country Dining. This happened literally last night at like 10pm.

Extremely clean! That was something we noticed right away. Lots of restaurant options and buffet was delicious. There were gluten free options (although limited) there was at least 1 menu option in each restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing that we found limited was bathrooms around the resort. There was 1 in lobby, 1 at the beach, and 1 at the spa/gym area. None of the restaurants had one and neither did the theatre. Overall fantastic trip and would recommend this location
