The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The butler was useless, literally did nothing for us and had an excuse for everuthing. This is mainly on the resort for assigning him to us when we checked in on Sunday, and apparently his day off was Monday. So we ran into him Tuesday late afternoon. We had booked all of the dinner resos we could at that point, however, we were left SOL on a couple of nights because he wasnt there to greet us on check-in. We upgraded to Platinum Club - when all was said and done I really dont know the benefit other than it being a bigger room. Also we were told check-in was 3pm, when our room wasn't ready it suddenly became "between 3-5pm".Good access to multiple pools between the 3 resorts. Beach is terrible because of a hurricane that hit a few years ago- their website not updated to show this. If youre looking for nice beaches and water look elsewhere.

Le resort et la chambre sont très propres et il y a de belles piscines, mais notre déception vient du fait que dès notre arrivée nous n’avons pas pu réserver des restaurants, car ils étaient déjà plein pour tout notre séjour. Le resort devrait garder des places pour les arrivants. De plus, nous n’avons jamais pu parler au concierge qui n’était pas présent lorsque nous passions au comptoir et quand j’ai posé une question à une responsable des activités au sujet de Tulum, elle m’a répondu d’aller voir sur le site web. Le wifi n’est pas super! La nourriture est très bonne, mais il est impossible de nager agréablement dans la mer dû aux brises vagues et aux algues. Enfin, le personnel est très gentil et serviable.

We had a wonderful stay. Rooms were very clean, stocked regularly and service was remarkable. We were there for a week and loved it. My husband and daughter enjoyed the bike tour. My only negative was the resort ran out of mango on our first day and it remained unavailable for our whole trip. It’s silly but I had a 12 year old who spent months looking forward to mango drinks

We stayed as a family of four (2 parents and 2 kids ages 10 & 12) in one room with 2 doubles and a murphy bed for 7 nights. Pros: - Stunningly beautiful property. Felt like we were in a landscaped jungle! - Great front desk staff. - Immaculately clean resort, including rooms, restrooms, dining areas, etc. - Pool not crowded whatsoever, and we could always get loungers by the pool. - Floors 3 and up have a pool view. - A'akat's a la cart fish tacos are absolutely delicious! - Breakfast buffet was always tasty. - Golf carts available to transport to sister properties. - Kobo dinner was yummy and entertaining. Cons: - Staff friendliness was hit and miss. - Poor poolside service. Oftentimes there was none at all. - They played the exact same music playlist at the pool every day. Would have been nice if they switched it up. - No lunch or dinner buffet available, only breakfast. - Rooms are not soundproof, and you can hear the people above, beside and outside of your room. - Rooms are very dark. - Sinks are not inside the bathroom, but rather next to the sleeping area. - Room service takes a long time.

The Ventus Ha is the newer of the three El Cid resorts at this location. The Ventus Ha decor is modern and the hotel has a nice laid back vibe. The music at the pools was relaxing and the service was very good. We loved the restaurant on the property for breakfast and lunch; there's a deck in back where you can sit and often see crocodiles. We sat outside because the inside of the restaurants at Ventus Ha were kept quite cold. I also liked being able to go to one of the many pools, bars, and restaurants and the other two sister resorts across the road.

Room was good. Staff very courteous but Hotel charged way more than the Expedia stated. There was over 800.00 in extra fees. When booking with Expedia we booked Ha and changed to Marina. They told us same price but once checking in they charged way more plus 26.00 per day for 12 year old when booking that recently turned 13

Beautiful and spotless place. Large rooms with a fridge packed with drinks, staff was very efficient, friendly and the amenities throughout the resort are fabulous. The food was amazing, lots of vegan, vegetarian options , lots of activities so overall we loved our stay and highly recommend.

Very disappointed. 95% of the staff were not friendly or welcoming. At check in, we were told Expedia messed up our booking and one of our kids was booked in as an infant, and we had to pay another $1,100 to stay! Other friends staying there at the same time, said they were charges and extra $250 a night. Service at the restaurant was good, but all the buffets seemed very slow and disorganized. Sometimes it would take over 15 minutes to get a coffee or water after being seated. Even when they just opened and we were the first people there. My 6 year old daughter had a nose bleed in the middle of the night, and they wanted to charge us $5000 pesos for the bedding!! We forgot our coats in the closet, and contacted them the next day, and they said they would try to find them. We’ve emailed multiple times since and they haven’t replied. For such a big and beautiful resort, I was extremely disappointed. Would never stay there again, nor ever recommend. The one staff member at Ventus Ha named Alex, was one of the very few staff members that was very friendly and helpful. Also George the bar tender at the rooftop bar was amazing.
