Most guests complained as the temperature in the room wont go below 75 which is high for sleeping. Bedroom was not bad but the living room was too hot for us hence the 4 stars otherwise FULL 5 stars.

The Fairmont Mayakoba will not disappoint you. One of the most beautiful places to visit in all of Mexico. Outstanding service, amazing food, beautiful beaches and pools.. it truly is a tropical paradise. This is our 4th time here and I’m already trying to figure out when I can come back!

What we loved most about this property was its natural beauty and ecosystem layout. It’s divided into three main areas, each with its own charm. The main hotel area is calm and well-designed, with two restaurants, a spa, and a peaceful pool that’s often empty—perfect for a quiet break. The boat dock allows for a tour of the property that you will want to schedule with the attendant located by the dock. This is also where you will pick up bikes and chauffeur golf carts to travel throughout the property. The carts and bikes were extremely convenient and so much apart of the charm. The second area is centered around a large pool complex with separate family and adult pools, two more restaurants, and a cozy café. We loved the quiet view from the adult pool and an afternoon Affogato from Maya‘s Café. The beach club is the standout. The pool overlooks a wide stretch of beach with plenty of room to relax or play. We enjoyed all of the activities, including the catamaran (an 30ish minute tour was complementary and booked same day) and a sunrise paddleboard out to the core reef (fee based)—Darwin was a great guide. Around the property, you’re still within the Mayakoba and we felt extremely safe and relaxed taking walks on the nature trail pre-dinner and riding bikes to the cenote.

One of the best resorts I've ever been to. The property is beautiful and service is beyond excellent. Staff is so attentive and kind and they went out of their way to make our stay amazing by leaving multiple surprises in our room for our special occasion. The only thing that could be improved is the food at some of their restaurants.

Very little entertainment, the restaurants are very expensive for the quality and variety of the food, the ice machines are constantly breaking down, in general I found it very expensive for what the hotel really is, the rooms are spacious.

We have been to Mayakoba many times and this was our first time staying at Fairmont. While we were excited to check out the hotel and its facilities, we weren’t even given a map or places to dine in. We were lost to find our room as we were given zero explanations.

Just returned from a four night stay in beautiful Mayakoba Mexico. This was probably one of the best resorts in Mexico that I have stayed at. The service, the rooms, the resort, and the amenities were all amazing! We did not do the all inclusive option but our booking included the buffet breakfast which had everything we needed. We weren’t aware that we had butler service included with our reservation. Javier and Ali were the assigned butlers for our 2 rooms. They were so helpful and responsive. They helped familiarize us with the property and amenities, adjusted our dinner reservations, arrange transportation, booked activities, and were always available to answer our questions. The resort is simply beautiful! It underwent a complete renovation just a few years ago. Everything looks brand new. The beach club with the beach side pools are a highlight. Alberto led the mixology class at Cielo rooftop - a great bar tender and a fun teacher! The class was included for no additional cost (even better lol). All the included activities were great - we biked the nature trail, we did hat painting, catamaran’s on the beach, a visit to the butterfly sanctuary, and a guided cenote visit. The morning Eco tour with bird watching is a highlight - not to be missed! Our boat captain, Miguel, was funny (which we needed to wake up at 7:30am) and also very knowledgeable about the local wildlife! It is the most popular activity there, so make sure to reserve it as soon as you can.
