Holidays in Perama

To travel is to live. So grab your suitcase, kiss your dog goodbye and take yourself off to Perama! A neighbourhood in Athens, it's a fantastic base for discovering this vibrant city's sights. One of the best things about travelling is the people you meet on the way. And with 650,000 locals calling the capital of Greece home, there's plenty of opportunities to make a few new BFFs. Once you've hit Eleftherios Venizelos Airport and pulled your suitcase from the carousel, Perama will be a commute of 30 kilometres to the west. From the city centre, it's 13 kilometres to the west.

Perama is a sightseer's wonderland. A range of the city's best attractions are sprinkled near this neighbourhood, including the Port of Piraeus and the Mikrolimano Marina. After taking a look at those, you'll want to head onwards to the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Foundation of the Hellenic World. For another perspective on Athens, venture to Keratsinion and Keratsini-Drapetsona, close-by neighbourhoods just waiting to be discovered.
