We booked to stay at The Whistler Hotel because of the proximity to Gare Du Nord. We'd read some reviews that mention the area itself being a bit sketchy, but it didn't put us off - and I'm pleased it didn't because our stay was excellent! We arrived at Gare Du Nord and found the hotel immediately. There were some questionable characters around the area, but once you step inside, the street outside ceases to exist. The

Friendly and pleasant hotel. I stayed for 1 night, arriving on the Eurostar, and taking an onward train from Gare du Nord the following morning. For this, the hotel is ideally situated - 2 minutes walk from the front of Gare du Nord. The surrounding area is not the most inspiring - but as a functional place to stay it was just what I needed. The room was a bit small (but this is Paris, so it’s normal). The bathroom was modern and clean, and the bed comfy. For solo travel and a layover before taking the train the next morning, this was ideal.

Close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. Was given an accessible room without asking. I am 1.92m tall so everything too low. Room was too warm and air con was disabled. Street was loud and smelly so opening windows not an option. Otherwise fine - shower was great.

We stayed at the Hotel Whistler for two nights in Paris after a ski vacation in the Alps. We wanted easy access to the RER train to Charles de Gaulle airport back to the States. The hotel was a gem. It is designed like the old "overnight sleeper car trains" of the 1940s and '50s which may sound corny, but its not. It shows the elegance of travel during this time period and its extremely well-thought out, and elegantly done. And the balcony in our room looked right at the Gare du Nord. The rooms actually feel like you are on a 1st class sleeper car, but larger and better than a train. The bed is way comfortable and the bathroom is 5 star. (the sink in particular is awsome). There is a 24/7 espresso machine you can use and an honor bar for spirits and wine. Every staff member we encountered, from check in to housecleaning, were friendly and seemed to like working there. One of the other real benefits is that it is located around the corner from Terminus Nord, maybe one of the best bistros in Paris. Great food, great atmosphere. I'd stay here again in a flash.

This hotel was awesome! Right across from Gare du Nord and super close to the M4 metro, so getting around was a breeze. Plus, it was spotless, my room especially, and the staff were fantastic. Five stars!

Nice hotel in very convenient location

This hotel is in an area that looks scary at night. In the day it is much better and has lots of places to eat drink and shop. The hotel is quaint and very comfortable with excellent bathrooms. Front desk is very helpful and nice. Next to metro and Paris Nord where you can go anywhere.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Whistler. It was clean, quiet and so very convenient to the stations. Some aspects of the decor could use freshening, but it had some charm. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’d be happy to spend another quick stay here.
