The most difficult part of my stay was the smell in the room. The whole place had a very strong, damp, moldy “old building” odor that was quite unpleasant. The bathroom was even worse — the musty smell there was sharp and overwhelming. If the bathroom door stayed closed, the room was slightly better, but once the door was opened, the strong moldy smell immediately filled the space.
Another issue was the hairdryer. It didn’t look or work like a normal hairdryer at all — it felt more like a vacuum hose. It was extremely loud, and although it blew strongly, it couldn’t dry my hair at all.
The bedding and linens were also quite old, and the bed wasn’t comfortable to sleep on. The room itself was very small, and most of the facilities felt worn and outdated.
The hotel’s location is convenient for transportation, but the surrounding area is very crowded, with narrow streets — perhaps typical of older parts of Paris.
