Really good food. We ate at a Land Remembered and had amazing steaks and lobster ravioli. The rooms are fine. But dark with the heavy dark furniture. Bright and modern is not this hotel. Outside of hotel is lovely— but we weren’t sleeping outside. Most annoying was the TV. It’s just old school. You should be able to stream and they make you think you’ll be able to but no. We are extremely tech savvy and trust me, you can’t. When you want to stay up and watch a movie with your beloved and can’t find anything but old Law and Order reruns, well it’s not good enough for a supposed top hotel these days. We travel all over the country so we are very up on what hotels have. New ones are modern, bright, and clean and the zebra finches are super cute in the lobby area but where people stay matters most to their wanting to return. Food is number 2 and this is where this hotel does a stellar job. We weren’t on the golf course so can’t comment there.

Favorite Orlando hotel

We love staying at Shingle Creek and have stayed several times. I was just expecting it to be on the vip property list as it had been in the past where we parking was free. Its a well maintained property with a great pool, Spa, restaurants and quick service food. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. The location is central to all the parks.
