Hello, I wanted to share some feedback about my recent stay at the Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort & Conference Center. I usually come to this hotel for work purposes and have always enjoyed my time here, but this stay was really disappointing. I was placed in a room located right next to an area where guests frequently enter and exit the building, and the noise from people coming and going, as well as loud conversations, made it impossible to sleep through the night. I’d really appreciate it if you could look into this issue and consider assigning quieter rooms for future stays. Thank you for your understanding and for taking the time to improve the guest experience.

The room and the building are very old and they don’t do any maintenance. The bathroom and the bedroom were clean, but everything was very outdated. The walls and the ceiling were damaged as well. We ended up leaving the same day we checked in.

The staff greeting at the front desk set the tone for what was to come. We weren’t expecting 5-star status, but there was little to celebrate about our stay. The rooms could use some serious updating. Accommodations, while clean, were mediocre at best. The towels provided had questionable stains on them and there were no additional comforters provided. We ended up having to request them from the front desk. The standing lamp had two bulbs that had to be unscrewed because both were blinking on and off as soon as we arrived. The air conditioning unit was insufferably loud and woke us up during the night. Pillows were tremendously lumpy and the mattress was as hard as a rock. Cracked tiles and rust in the shower area of the bathroom. Elevators were filthy and cigarette butts were everywhere. Not a lot of cleaning on the premises and so nothing about the place was even remotely inviting. Unfortunately, we cannot in good judgment, recommend this establishment.

The front desk staff and lobby are nice. Beyond that, it was terrible. Stained sheets and towels, run down, dark, shabby room. Common areas, pool area and walkways were always dirty. The best part of staying in this crap hole was the group of stray kitties. We will never come back here again. Complete waste of money.

This was the scariest hotel accommodation I have ever stayed at. On our first night of arrival my boyfriend and I were woken up around 11:45 to someone attempting to break into our room. We ran and screamed to shut the door (which was locked with the bolt and safety hatch) and immediately called the front desk. They sent a man with a tool drill (as if the drill would fix the problem) who said it was impossible for someone to do this, insinuating that we were lying. When I asked them to check the security cameras they kept ignoring me, and then I realized they don’t have security cameras to check. There were shady people lurking around making it an open, unsafe hotel building. I was told the only thing they could do for me was for me to pack my bags and leave. I requested we be moved to a different building which they accepted. The room we were put in was probably even worse it was in-front of the pool where people came in and out of the gates past 2 am slamming the gate doors and blasting music and smoking and drinking. We had to barricade the door with towels and chairs so we could sleep knowing we had time to react if anything happened. There was always sketchy men walking up and down the hotel halls. No security, no safety, a free for all - im surprised worse hasn’t happened or if it has it’s not public knowledge. Do not stay here unless you want sketchy motel vibes. I reached out to Wyndham multiple times and no response.

Don't stay at the Tower portion of the hotel! Very run down. Not very clean, elevators slow, one stopped working. Food at the market / cafe was edible. Didn't enjoy it. My daughter and I ordered same thing and neither sandwich was made correctly . Different missing ingredients and different meat on our Cubans. One shredded and another chunks. Staff was very nice. The best part about this hotel is it's proximity to the Universal parks. The pool area and lobby are nice and have places to get food and drinks. The rooms however are disgusting. The room smelled like mold, the sheets felt damp and the shower had hair all over the walls from a prior guest. This led me to believe that housekeeping did not do their job well
