Going out to the balcony and look at the beautiful view. Listening to the calm waves hitting the rocks at a quiet night. The sea was right at our feet. We walked around at other hotels that were fancier and more expensive, but the location of this place and where it was built is unmatched. We would come back again to this hotel. The food option was also satisfying. We tried all different kind of cuisine and they were amazing.

The smell in the room was horrible. The septic sewage smelled the entire time, in our building and our friends in the other buildings experienced the same problems. There was NO ROOM SERVICE and you couldn't get food or drinks after 1 am, which is unusual for All-inclusive. The shuttle was supposed to shut down at 3 am that takes you from one resort to the neighboring resort, but this didn't happen. The drivers were rude when they had to come after 1 am. The Entertainment was over at 11 pm which made it very boring. Not a good resort.

There are only one restaurant is good over there it is the restaurant espanol all the the rest the food is terrible also no water on the refrigerator is empty this not 5 stars hotel

My family along with a friends family spent a week at Tamarijn. We have stayed at several all-inclusive resorts in Aruba in the past. This resort is best for older couples looking for a bargain, in my opinion. We traveled with 3 kids ranging in ages 7-14. There was very little for them as far as activities. Room was quite small, especially the bathroom. Our A/C unit leaked creating a puddle on the floor which we had to use one of the few towels we were allotted to soak up. The food at the restaurants (require reservations) was the best part of our experience. There was a sewage/trash smell that was quite strong at times near the pool bar area and our building. The cleanliness at the pool bar and beach bar was not great. Lots of flies and birds. The buffet (breakfast and lunch) was pretty good and had lots of variety. The shuttle service to Divi was nice and the bathrooms by the pool/lobby were kept nice and clean. Entertainment was okay but nothing to do after 11pm. Most of the staff was excellent ...there are always a few that aren't. Overall, we enjoyed our trip but will not book this resort again.

Overall, our experience at the Tamarijn Resort was average. Mid-July brought rough, windy days and waves to Divi Beach, with overcast skies. While the staff and service were good, the restaurants at Tamarijn were better to those at Divi. However, Divi’s beach and night entertainment were better, so we needed access to both. The food was generally good, but I caught a stomach bug that ruined the end of the trip for me. I couldn’t eat much after that. My kids had fun at the Divi beach and Tamarijn pools, but we avoided the Tamarijn beach due to the rocks. We had requested a “beachfront” room months in advance for our 3-year-old, but it was ignored, and we were instead placed in a room in front of the rocks. This was dangerous for children to swim in, and when we asked for a relocation, they informed us that there was nothing they could do. Even if they had moved us to a room without rocks, it would have been further away from the facility, making it inconvenient for a family with small children. On the positive side, our room location was close to the pools and restaurants, which was convenient. We used the golf carts to get to Divi Beach, which was much better and closer to everything. The beach wasn’t shallow, and the rough waves weren’t ideal for my 3-year-old, but my 9-year-old still enjoyed it. The last day of the trip had the least amount of waves, and my 3-year-old was more comfortable and enjoyed it more.

The food at all of the restaurants was outstanding. Our room was steps away from the beach. We had no trouble finding places to sit by any of the pools on site. Service at the restaurants and bars was excellent.

This property had many options for swimming and dining adding more with the use of the Divi as well. However from day one the dining game became very frustrating with trying to make reservations for dinner during our week stay. Every single time you would go on the site the only available times to eat would be at 530 or past 9pm. If you wanted to try and reserve two days ahead you would have to get up early and wait in the lobby to make in person reservations of which certain times no one was there. First off it’s suppose to be vacation and now you’re having to get up early every day to make dinner plans of which you’re confined to what time slot is left. And of course there’s always the buffet which was to us not so great. I would give it a 2 star. The food around the bar was well…bar food and greasy. The cheese on the fries was no more than a watered down cheese whiz taste and the drinks were ok but zero taste of alcohol. Don’t really need to taste it but just not very good. The beach in front of our room was just ok but with lots of rocks. Definitely stay at the Divi if you want to avoid rocks. There were a few servers that were great us at breakfast and lunch Both breakfast and lunch were good choices of food. It’s bad that there are no to go boxes or trays to take back to the room. But the restaurant closed at 3 in the Tamarijn so the ONLY dining option without reservations was the one at Divi for dinner Again this was our biggest complaint.
