Oberlin Hotels with Parking

I picked this hotel excited about the hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot tub was out of service and blocked off. Pool water was cold. I had a poolside room and the door key lock did not work from the pool side, only the outer hallway. Not well maintained. The restaurant onsite was really good. You can tell they tried to fix up the hotel at one point but didn't do a great job. I skipped the shower because the bathroom was kind of dingy.

Great breakfast and presentation

Know when you’re going there that you need to ask for room service. I could not get my room cleaned. My towels were either placed on the desk or on the toilet seat. No coffee replaced, no soap and shampoo replaced. The one morning I went down for breakfast they weren’t open and then when they did openthe coffee was cold, sausage was cold, not impressed. The complementary coffee they have in the lobby. It’s cold. The machine didn’t work, and the area was nasty. The first night I was there my phone didn’t work. I had to use my cell phone to call the hotel and ask for a phone which I didn’t get until the next day when I went down to the front desk and picked it up myself, I asked for extra towels and two blankets that I didn’t get till the next day when I went down to the front desk to get them myself. I could keep going, but I think you get the drift. I feel sorry for the two managers that are taking a lot of grief because the hotel doesn’t hire competent and enough employees to staff for the needs of the customer. The day manager did adjust my bill and I was grateful for that, but it can’t erase the horrid experience I had for four days there.

Really nice hotel, exceeded my expectations and very close to Cedar Point. Make sure if going to the park to ask for an early entry ticket as the guy on the desk didn’t mention this until I asked if it was available

Rooms are in need of upgrades. Shower and tub needed resealed. We stayed in 217. Nice quiet chill area.
