Birthday weekend nightmare

Upon arrival I found that my room had not been cleaned. After cleaning and disinfecting my room, I went down and asked the manager “how often the rooms are cleaned prior to assigning them out.” He then explained that some checks throughout the week, or is supposed to. I shared photos of the cloths which were black from cleaning. He asked if I would send them to him via email which I did. (No response)He then offered to give my significant other and I a complimentary meal. (Dinner or breakfast) He was made aware I prefer “vegan/plant based” and my significant other does not. The following morning(Saturday )we went down to have breakfast and the staff was not informed. We paid for our breakfast. That evening we spent the entire evening listening to someone’s child run around in the hallway screaming, and horse playing. Our day had pretty much ruined. We were checking out the next morning, needless to say my BIRTHDAY weekend was ruined. Not to mention the pillows which deflated as soon as we laid on them. While I have photos, I choose not to upload them. I hope this helps the higher ups take heed to their own advice. I hope they will come make sure everything is up for par, whether top of the line or somewhere you booked for overnight travel.

It wasnt filthy but there were areas in the shower that needed cleaned. There were ants all over our room. My partner found one on them in bed. The mini fridge didnt work and was dirty. The hot tub was completely drained which im not sure if it was advertised but regardless still would have loved to use it. The staff in the restaurant never acknowledged us when we went in for dinner. The "buffet" being $12 is insane when almost every other hotel offers that complimentary.

The hotel recently switched from a Doubletree to Wyndham. Not impressed. There used to be a free very nice breakfast. The pool was closed, the doors on the side of the building didn't lock. The locked off room next to us was smoking on a non smoking floor. Will not go back.

This Hotel Has Given Up

The hotel is in very poor condition. Carpets are filthy and stained. Pool was not functioning. The lamp shade in our room was torn. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner were off the wall. Our AC didn’t work and we had to get a repairman in to fix it. It worked when we returned to the room that evening. The hallways and rooms are so dark. The hallways reeked of chlorine from the pool. Rooms are not being cleaned to any standard. There was an old pizza box left in the cabinet under the TV. There was no hair dryer. This hotel is in desperate need of new management and a makeover. The best part of the experience was free parking and plenty of pillows.
