We did a pre-Christmas escape to the Riu Palace Pacifico and it was PERFECT! The service was amazing, our drinks were never left unfilled, the food everywhere we ate was very good (it's a resort, it's not Michelin starred but everything was fresh, tasted good, and there were plenty of options). I loved that you didn't need restaurant reservations, we showed up for dinner around 7:30 every night and just walked right in. We enjoyed the evening shows and the nacho's at the sports bar. Great place to get away and unwind for a few days!

Room was excellent and clean. So much provided in the room beverages! However you can ger variety of drinks and food all over the resort. The staff was funny and courteous making Christmas eve and day wonderful! The food on Christmas eve, WOW! There was entertainment in the evening but we were in total relaxation mode, only went one night! The staff keep it Christmas mode with the attire!

It was wonderful stay. Really loved the place and the service is high quality. All the people who work at the resort are really nice and ready to help you. I am taking one star out for the food. Since it was all inclusive, there are very few vegetarian food options. The available vegetarian food was sub standard.

We stayed for 6 nights. PROS: - The property is beautiful, and we watched breathtaking sunsets every single day. -The staff were amazing — always positive, welcoming, and the resort was spotless at all times. -The food was incredible. There was a huge selection at the buffet, themed nights, plenty of fresh fruit, and fresh juices. Krystal was our favourite restaurant — we went twice. The lobster tartare, short rib, and Ferrero Rocher dessert were exquisite. -There’s even a cat named Catamaran guarding the resort, she’s definitely a star there! - The beach was our favourite part. We swam and took long walks along the shore every day and even got to see stingrays and dolphins. CONS: -We don’t drink, but the bartenders often pressured us to order alcoholic drinks and didn’t seem very attentive to us because of it. - Despite the “no smoking” signs, people were frequently smoking around the resort. It made it difficult to enjoy the fresh ocean air, and this should be enforced more consistently by staff. -There are water sports and rentals on-site, but when signing the waiver, there was no English version available — only Spanish — so you don’t really know what you’re agreeing to. We rented a kayak for 30 minutes, and I hurt my foot while a staff member was helping us get back on shore. - The steakhouse had massive lineups, and we honestly didn’t enjoy it at all. The surf and turf was underwhelming, though the chef did apologize later in the week.

siasm: This was the best all-inclusive resort I have ever been to. From the hotel room to the food, staff, and overall cleanliness, everything exceeded my expectations. I even made great friends along the way. The food truly stood out—it was high quality, flavorful, and well seasoned. The rooms were spotless, and I never encountered anything that felt unclean. It was clear that cleanliness is taken very seriously throughout the resort. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. They spoke both English and Spanish very well, which made communication easy and comfortable. The entertainment was amazing, from the fun poolside activities during the day to the exciting nighttime shows. Everything was absolutely spectacular. I am definitely planning my next visit back to this

The good: the staff, the beach, the property, the drinks, the cleanliness, the service, etc etc. Not one complaint about how gorgeous it was or how clean or how accommodating and polite every single staff member was. Everyone worked very hard to provide the best service possible and we were happy. The bad: the food was pretty awful. I get that it’s hard to provide different styles of food for such a large and varied circulation of guests, but when even the tacos are so-so…come on. Anyway, the Steakhouse wasn’t bad, and the buffet was hit or miss. The Italian was bad. Kyoto’s was not good. Room service was terrible. The American Bar was also meh. Pepe’s was ok in a pinch, but overall, all things edible were super disappointing unless it was fruit or pastries. All that being said, I didnt realize how important food is on vacation, and anyone here praising the food is obviously a rube who has never had a decent meal.

The room on the sixth floor, number 6040, has a poorly functioning entrance door that sometimes doesn't close. The mirror is old and stained. The door slide is also very poorly constructed and doesn't close. You have to force it to close it. The mattress is very soft and your back hurts after a night's sleep.

The place is beautiful! Spotless, rooms are great, beach is awesome and the water perfect for swimming. The staff is ten out of ten. They work hard to make your experience enjoyable. My only complaint was the food. Not so great. We did the buffet, the Steakhouse, Kyoto,l Italian, the American Bar, and Pepe's. All of it was disappointing. But to be fair, its probably hard to offer so many different varieties of food and make it amazing.
