Property was nice and everything was close. If you wanted a spot on the beach you had to wake up before 6am to go claim it. People started lining up for restaurants at 5pm (they open at 6) because they don't do reservations. Way too much work for me personally when I'm on vacation. Our TV stopped working halfway through our week and we asked for someone to come to fix it but they never did. Wasn't a big deal because we didn't spend a lot of time in the room but it would have been nice to have in the evening. The buffet was good but the one at the Riu Palace was much better. Staff were okay, they were much friendlier at the Riu Palace which is where we ended up spending most of our time. Overall okay stay.

We went with 17 family and friends and we all loved our stay there! The buffet was delicious with so many different items to choose from, everything was clean including all bathrooms and everyone was so friendly. I want to mention how wonderful Michelle was who is the hostess in the buffet, the piano man in the lobby played beautifully, Lillyann in the ladies pool bathroom is such a hard worker and all the activities employees made the water area so fun! I really loved the bands that played each night before the events! Thank you for a great stay at the Riu😊

Nice resort with excellent dining, except for the reservation system for the specialty restaurants. Noisy beach area due to the construction next door. Only 3 out of the 5 elevators were working, so it made for some long wait times.

Terrible experience with customer service! There was a crucial issue for our stay. We agreed they would follow up .. but now . More than 3 weeks later and various mails from us, no response and follow up. Very unprofessional and unethical and zero client service. Very very disappointed. Never ever will i book at riu again!!! Everything was fantastic! Buffets were great with a great selection, pool area vibrant with lots of people. If you’re worried about getting chairs, either get up early or they have extras behind the shed on the far side. One of the attendants will get one for you. Food in specialty restaurants was also good. Within walking distance of small shops and bars if you want a retreat from the resort. Only downside was a few days several elevators were not working, but otherwise a great place! Construction next door cannot be heard at the pool.

This hotel had so much to offer, had a great location on the beach, food was amazing, staff extremely helpful and friendly. HOWEVER, this is a large property with a lot of guests and half of their elevators were out the entire week we stayed. The lines for the elevator were outrageous at breakfast and dinner times.

Extra long wait for elevators due to the fact that 2 were not working. Paid for an ocean view room but only saw a roof top. Not able to make dinner reservations in advance so you had to wait in a long line to eat at a decent hour. The Italian restaurant was very disappointing, we waited 1 1/2 hours for our meal and the pasta was not cooked. No entertainment pool side. The nightly entertainment was terrible. Staff and meals at the buffet was excellent. Our room was kept clean with fresh towels daily.

My stay was very nice the only issue was the elevator time and wait and my door key stopped working numerous times.But over all it is a very nice place and would recommend it to anyone.

Our stay at the Riu was fairly perfect. The food is excellent, even the buffet. If I could nit pick a bit, the elevators were wild. Unpredictable and unreliable. Also, you cannot make reservations but you have to line up at 5:30 to get a table at the a la carte, for the first or second seating. Entertainment was average at the resort but there are lots of bars/restaurants that are walkable.

We loved our stay here. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. While things werent perfect (and they never are) there was nothing that would deter us from staying here again; infact we are discussing WHEN we would be coming back. We were very pleased overall. Food was great, amenities great. We never felt unsafe.
