With only 1 accommodation option within 10 kilometres of Newland's centre, you'll need to move faster than an 80-year-old at a buffet if you want to stay close by!
Never been good at making decision? Don't worry! The Shady Lawn Lodge might be your only choice if you are keen on staying near the central streets.
Still struggling to book a room in the area? The Springmaid Mountain and the Taylor House Inn may just be what you're after. The first is 14 kilometres from town, while the other is 25 kilometres away. If these don't suit, we'd recommend the Bluegreen Vacations Blue Ridge Village an Ascend Resort, which is 14 kilometres from town.
If you're a proud carrier of the wanderlust gene (well duh, you're here right?), then you'll want to explore more of the North Carolina region. Nature buffs should visit Newland's stunning coastal plains, mountains and tablelands. A few other gotta-sees are historic mansions and history museums. Hungry for more? Common pastimes in this particular part of United States of America include snowboarding and skiing, so don't be scared to have a crack!
Lenoir is another place where you can kick back and make friends with the room service menu. Sitting 40 kilometres east of Newland, it's where you'll discover the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center and the Lenoir Golf Club. If you'd like to visit Lenoir, consider the rates at the Comfort Inn and Days Inn Lenoir. Or, you could consider staying in Morganton, 40 kilometres to the southeast of Newland, where you can choose from the Hampton Inn Morganton and Comfort Inn & Suites Morganton. The Beanstalk Journey and the Quaker Meadows Golf Club are just some of the most popular points of interest to check out while in Morganton.
Chimney Rock State Park, Lake Lure Adventure Company and the Lake Lure Golf Club are just some of the awesome things to see and do in Lake Lure. This regional centre is 70 kilometres south of Newland and has a population of 1,000. Got some more time to spare? See what's happening at the Right Track Toy Train Museum and Lake Lure Beach and Water Park. There's an awesome selection of hotels in Lake Lure, with The Esmeralda Inn and Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Mountains topping out the list.
Unless you're planning to crash on the floor at Tri-Cities Regional Airport, it might be wise to book some accommodation before you leave. The Econo Lodge is close by, or you could always travel into Newland's centre. It's 65 kilometres away.
