Excellent location. Comfortable bed. Good value for money. For us personally, the absence of breakfast at the hotel was an issue. There are cafe options in the area, but the good ones are frequently busy and have no free seats available.

The rooms are huge, well maintained. Kitchen is usable. There is a coffee machine with no coffee and hotel would not provide coffee so you need to bring your own.

Met our needs

My wife and I (both 80 years old) stayed here for the second time and will do so again if we get back to NYC. The hotel and room met our needs. The reasons for a 4 rating rather than a 5: no freezer in the refrigerator, only one washcloth in the room at the beginning. We asked for maid service one day and did not get it. Otherwise, everything was fine. Our granddaughter and her fiance were there for 4 days in another room. Their refrigerator did have a freezer. They were happy with their room. We appreciated the umbrellas that were available when it rained. The hotel is convenient to Central Park, many places to eat, and many popular attractions. We spend a lot of time in art museums.

Do not expect too much. Service is just okay. You can ask them anything and you will get answers, but you do not feel welcomed or happy to be there from the vibes of the guys in reception. Location of the hotel is great for Central Park, midtown, subway and east river accessed. Rooms are okay. Big, and not completely awful, but so noisy. We were on the rooms facing back of the hotel and did not have one moment of silence. The venting system are right there and so so loud all the time, night included. Plus noise from the hallway is easily transmitted into the room. Water was not refilled daily, which I expected for the money spent. But the service level is just non existent. They were not even interested in if we had a good time when checking out. Not bad in that they are horrible, just not interested I think. Which depends on what you are using the hotel for.
