We had a nice stay at The Prince Kitano. Location was great. Away from the busy streets of NYC but walking distance to most of the popular tourist sites. The room was very clean and well kept however I found the rooms a bit dated. Overall we would stay at The Prince Kitano again.

Our expensive room (705) in NYC Dec 2025 was on a low floor (7th) only. It had 2 windows on each of 2 sides, a situation requiring more than average heating. However the room was cold. A pleasant employee sympathised, was not surprised, stated that he felt a little airflow coming out of the one heating vent. He left, came back, expressed optimism that the room temperature would rise, which it never did. When I called the operator, we were offered 2 duvets which we accepted. Clearly there are architectural issues with this hotel which no one has wanted to repair. If you should stay at this hotel will you have heating/ cooling issues? Will you pay almost $1000 and be given a room on the 7th floor We won't return to this hotel. Too many little surprises. John C Annapolis MD

The room was comfortable and clean with a nice view. Not a direct view of the Empire State Building, but it was clearly visible at an angle. It was lovely when it snowed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely consider staying here again.
