Room was worn, old furniture, rude staff & room service was not provided for my 3 day stay! When I asked why not, I was told they were fully booked and I needed to ask, mind you 8pm at night? And traveling with a child that has special needs, and not being provided accommodations that were listed on the website is ridiculous. Fought for a refund, but the hotel would not offer any compensation for such a terrible stay most disappointing stay ever coming to NYC never again.

The hotel staff was helpful from beginning to end. I will only write one example since it is the one that remained after my first experience in New York. During my first day, a pigeon had relieved itself on my hoodie. I asked one of the female staff members about what the hotel would charge to clean my hoodie. Instead, she recommended a laundromat that was across the street. She not only saved me time but she saved me money. On top of all of that, she answered all my questions regarding what to expect throughout the week since it was the week leading up to the New York City Marathon.

The room was a great size for an NYC hote but there was so little storage. There was no dresser or set of drawers to put things in and there was a small closet. Also it was a room for 3 people yet they left only 2 sets of towels and we had to ask for more each day. The bathroom was huge but again, very little storage and no trash can in the bathroom, just in the main room. The bed and the sofa bed were ok. Also the front desk was not aware when we checked in that the parking they recommend was impossible to access due to construction. We were able to walk everywhere we went from the hotel which was nice.

Both locks on our door in #1017 were inoperable so we did not feel safe at all, especially with a sold out hotel with people going in and out all night on our floor! We put the little table and stand alone chair against the door instead for “protection”. Thermostat was not working and couldn’t be adjusted below 68 degree so it was uncomfortably hot in the room all night. AND shower water temperature was also unadjustable below scalding, so it very uncomfortable for us to shower. Sink water pressure very low as well. Not worth the $600/night with basics not available in working order!!! The only positive was the male employee, Vladmir(?), who took care of our luggage who was so nice!
