Do not stay here

Worst hotel I’ve ever been at in Manhattan. AC didn’t work, room smelled moldy, shower was either burning hot or freezing. Mattress was so crushed on the edge it was like sleeping on an incline. I got what I paid for, but don’t believe any positive reviews.

Absolutely avoid this place

I just came back from my stay at the hotel Hayden and it was possibly the worst hotel I have stayed at in my time travelling. The air conditioning did not work through out my stay despite multiple complaints to the front desk staff. The shower has a half door which meant the bathroom would get flooded with each shower. The toilet or other pipes in the bathroom intermittently would drain and make a loud noise. In the middle of the second night I woke up scratching all over unsure if it was bed bugs or dirty linen. All in all I had an absolutely terrible time, could not get any sleep any of the nights. The only thing this place has going is the location but take my advice and boom any of the many other hotels on the same road.

The pillows were half the size of a standard pillow and we got four squares. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Let’s not talk about the TV remote and the fact that no amount of alcohol wipes would help. AC wasn’t that great so not sure how guests are going to fair on the hot NY summers.

2 of the front desk ladies- lowzy, vain, unpleasent, the brekfest less than poor, tables around not clean for few days, did not supply daily coffee kits, the elevator without lights of the floor, i had to change 4 times my keys because some battary problem. Will not reccommend this htl to no one!!!

Never Again!

Toilet didn’t work. Shower pressure was awful. Room refrigerator didn’t work. We didn’t realize all of the above until late at night. Wish I asked for a new room. This was also supposed to be a handicap accessible room but the handicap door access didn’t work either. While we weren’t in wheelchairs, we had lots of luggage and like that feature to simply press the access button. If either of us were in a wheelchair, it would have been quite an inconvenience. Woman at the counter at checkout was rude and asked “Did you report any of this during your stay?” When I explained it was late at night and we weren’t aware of all the issues until it was too late…her reply was “well I’m not the manager. You’ll only get your resort fee back.” No eye contact and short, rude answers. NEVER AGAIN!
