The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the check in/checkout process was quick & seamless. I even had a nice “Welcome Lauren” on the TV screen saver when I arrived. Always love a personal touch. The only complaint I have is that the shower shampoo was completely empty, which was a bummer. If you’re paying $500 for 2 nights you expect all the amenities to be there. But regardless, it was still a pleasant stay right in the heart of the city. Will definitely be going again.

The positive: - Great location (access to multiple subway lines and many attractions within walking distance) - Clean rooms and very attentive housekeeping staff - Ice machine and water station on one of the lower floors (slightly inconvenient that they were not on each floor, but still easily accessible) - Most of the staff were kind and helpful The negative: Some of the staff were not as welcoming. There were multiple instances where I felt like I was bothering them: - My flight landed early and I was told I would be called when a room was ready and that never happened. I was fine waiting till check in time, but the lack of communication was frustrating - When I arrived to get my keys and pick up my bags, the desk agent was very rude. I advised that I had checked in earlier and was picking up my keys - she barely greeted me and just asked for my identification. I let her know I was also picking up bags and had been there earlier and she just repeated “ID please” in a very condescending way that made me want to end the interaction there. She was just as unpleasant in all of our interactions for the rest of my stay. - I dropped my key when I went on a quick walk around the block for food and realized I had left my ID in my room. I had anxiety going to get a replacement because the only person at the desk was the same desk person who had already been rude to me previously. She was not any nicer when I went to go ask and again, I felt like I was burdening her. -

Very noisy all three nights. 1st night—trash services were making a lot of noise at 3am. We didn’t complain because we figured it’s not the hotels fault. 2nd night—from 3:30-4am, the person next door kept knocking consistently (I guess trying to get in the room). I called to the front desk, they sent security up, and it stopped. Then it started again at 5:15. We just gave up. We complained to the evening manager the next day, and they promised to have security check the floor often. 3rd night—around 2:30am, the next door people were very loud and drunk. We gave it a few minutes thinking they were coming in after the bar, but it just kept continuing and they kept talking about playing guitar hero (yes, we heard their whole conversation through the walls). I called the front desk. Supposedly they sent up security, but the loud talking didn’t stop. I went into the hall, and security was no where to be found. I called the front desk again, and she said security was up there and heard nothing….though I never saw or talked to security so they couldn’t hear what we were hearing in our room. This is not just a “it’s NYC so it’s noisy.” We have stayed at numerous places in NYC, and they were all very quiet. Maybe Hilton just makes their hotels out of cardboard so all of the noises come through, but we will never stay at Hilton again (this was our first time and last time). Management has done nothing significant to make it better. (Duvet & Water Pressure A+—that’s it)
