Only 2 elevators out of 3 were working causing a lot of delays during the stay to wait for elevators. Front desk staff was courteous and room was good and comfortable as well. The hotel lobby had coffee and water filter that was great.

Location was perfect, literally around everything you could need. During check in the front desk lady was rude when I asked her to explain the deposit amount. She said well you have to take it up with Expedia as if it was taboo to book through 3rd party. Then housekeeping knocked on our door at 830 each morning. In what world does anyone ask to clean your room at this time. Then a few hours lady, management comes back with house keeping. We didnt open the door because we were relaxing. They come in asking about if the bottom of the bed has wood. seriously?? The elevators are very slow and only two worked and only 6 people could get in at a time. This caused long waits. The room was clean, location was great.

Michelle at the front desk made ALL the difference. She was warm, friendly and welcoming. On Sat 6/28 we tried to eat breakfast in the restaurant and the female staff was very rude. We ended up not eating there. The phone in our room didn’t work but our room was nice and view was great!!

Family trip ruined

The ac would not lower so we either had to freeze or turn it off. We ended up having to keep it off because our kids were too cold. Maintenance came by 3 times but never actually fixed it. The front desk would not give us another room. The TV was slanted and could have fallen and the door wouldn’t lock unless we slammed it. For that amount of money I would hope we would at least be given another room. It ruined our trip.

We stayed here for six nights, the staff were just excellent. They were so kind, helpful, and professional. They took time to answer questions, which was very nice for us non locals. The front desk staff was very responsive in a busy environment, they did a great job. Joe, the concierge took care of us and directed us to a lot of different places! On the downside, we never seemed to have hot water for showers, and if we did you better be quick one minute or less. Our room thermostat was changed out by the excellent handyman because it was keeping our room at 63°; after the switch, we could at least turn it off and get the temp up to 70. Since we were here during the horrible heat wave, it turned out OK. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything we wanted to do; near Times Square, the theater district, and a walk up town where we frequently went. Would definitely stay here again.

Get more out of Midtown at this Hilton

Excellent location midtown near Times Square. Our king suite was spacious clean and comfortable. Get a high floor corner room for a better view. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant is wonderful. Good martinis at the bar. Firendly staff. The lobby is a little tight and the elevators take a while.
