There was alot of renovation and construction in the hotel. Only one elevator to service all of the guest and we were on the 6th floor so it was not convenient at all to walk up the emergency stairs. No functioning restrooms on the main lobby. If you didn't want to wait for the elevator you could walk up the stairs and go through weird closet type rooms to get to the 2nd floor and then around the corner. The AC kept getting turned up and hot during the day. We had to ask every night to turn on the AC in our room. The TV needs to be updated! Very old and bad picture. We were only provided 3 towels with 4 guest in the room so we had to ask for more towels each night of our stay.

There was only one elevator working out of the three elevators. That elevator stopped working and there was a staff/service that had to be used for one night when the one elevator was not working. The wait for an elevator was kind of long. This is not a huge issue, but the wait was slightly annoying. The stairs were available for use, but they were incredibly steep. The hotel staff were very kind, warm, and accommodating. Would definitely stay again with hopes of elevators working.

The staff was courteous. The location is great and close to everything. The room was smaller than anticipated (at the price). Overnight parking is expensive. One of the elevators was down so we took the stairs most of the weekend. The hotel is nice but dated. I had a room with a balcony. Being on the balcony was nice, but it needs updated furniture and a fresh coat of paint.

My room was an hour late being ready - I was late to my dinner reservation as a result. Elevators broken in the hotel wasn’t a pleasant experience either.

Front Staff was very inattentive. Seemed to be looking for ways to avoid contact. With a couple exceptions on our 5 day stay, we were never assisted by doorman or bellman or front desk staff. No one sought to greet us or make us feel welcome. This was our fourth stay at the hotel based largely on friendliness, and quite frankly there may not be a fifth.

The room smelled a little old and musty at first. Otherwise, the room was beautiful. We love the in room jacuzzi. Most of the elevators didn't work. The inroom room temp cooler but no fridge didn't make sense. Had to request a fridge for med purposes.

Housekeeping staff is the absolute *best* in New Orleans. The beds and pillows are soft, too. On the other hand, I've never stayed there when all three elevators actually worked. Two were out of commission this entire week, so walking five flights was necessary much of the time. Our thermostat didn't work and the heat seemed to be centrally controlled, making for a very cold stay. The front desk staff was cordial, but the rooms remained cold. Excellent location, so if you can deal with the inconveniences, everything is walkable from there.

Our experience was less than enjoyable. The thermostat did not work properly. When we went to use the towels in the bathroom, they were soaking wet due to a leak from the sink. We were located on the seventh floor and the elevator stopped working and we had to access our room via the stairs.

A bit dated furniture and doors/windows, but based on the fact that we were in the old and historic town, it wasn't that bad. It blended in.
