We enjoyed the resort. Food wasn’t great but what you’d expect. Very helpful and friendly staff. The pools were great.

There was enough staff to clean any mess within 5-10 minutes. Not even rain water could rest on the ground without being pushed into greenery so no one could fall! It would have been nice for the disco, buffet and restaurants to offer more local food and music but overall it was decent food and the music catered to ppl from all over. I personally would have liked them to feature more local food and music though.

Property looks refurbished and in good shape overall. Main problem arise from the staff. When arriving our luggage was dropped in the lobby for delivery to our room. It never make it to the room we got to retrieve it from the lobby and bring it to our room. Food quality and taste is very good, but most of the staff members do not greet your or attend your table. Most of the drinks are made for the server to provide them to you but they never come to the table, you need to ask them for service and then they get mad and provide mediocre service. I normally top great servers but none in this trip. Other issue around the property is the smoking of weed, is rampant everywhere even though they have designated smoking areas this is a total joke. On the maid said our rooms were not normally done, we put the request but the young lady assigned to our room was always mad, one day we requested towels to her and she got all mad and start yelling in Patois, she said she has not clean towels, fortunately a maid supervisor around was aware and she scolded the maid and went looking for some towels. On the room if you run out of soap good luck getting more, we got to use the hand soap last couple days. Mini Bar was supposed to be refilled every 2 days but that is not the case, it was fill every 3 days or more. On the positive side pools were very clean all the time, most of the bar staff very attentive. Beach is beautiful nice spot. Towels even when new are smelly.

The room & property were very nice. Felt very safe. Loved the pool areas and the fact the swim up was a strict 18+ the lifeguards were on it as far as making sure kids stayed out of the pool & washing of your sandy feet from the beach. Very impressive !! Food was excellent. Tracy-Ann made it a great start to our day with breakfast. The entertainment staff was always professional & related to all ages. King ,Shadow & Bryan were so fun. Ended our evening at the sports bar with Veneisha, Kevin, Claudia& Dalton were amazing. I can say this was our best vacation yet because of all the people mentioned truly made our 35th Anniversary extra special.

Liked the nightly entertainment, they were very fun to watch and good entertainment through out the day as well, the food was good for a family resort, better than I would have expected. The resort was kept very clean. The staff service was not the best, they are slower to respond to requests. Had to ask multiple times to get a new blanket because the one in the room was already used and was smelly. Asked to get beverages restocked and they never were. The waitresses/waiters kept you waiting before asking if you wanted something to drink. A child almost drowned and the lifeguard did not know cpr or what to do in this situation, he had to call for help. Second time in Jamaica and already know not to have high expectations on the service level. Other than than food was good and entertainment was great had a good time.

We had a swim up pool room and it was awesome! View was absolutely gorgeous and the beach was spectacular. With that said, I’d say you can’t leave the resort unless with a driver/tour. However, the beach is definitely walkable, just be kind and say “No Thank you!” when asked to shop…unless you want to shop!

What can I say.... everyone and everything was amazing at the Riu!! Food was amazing. Entertainment all day long. The Riu entertainment crew was absolutely amazing. They interact with you your entire stay whether its sitting talking to you at the neach or lobby does not matter. Bartenders were very nice and made good drinks at any bar you go to. Kitchen crew and wait staff very pleasent and attentive. Rooms are spacious and clean. Beach is perfect. Thank you Riu for your amazing crew from beginning to end. We will be back!!

My family and I enjoyed our stay the staff was 5 star in responsiveness, welcoming and friendly interactions. We had a 5 star ocean view in our family 2 bedroom was as described. We would have liked an chair in the king bedroom. The beach and pool area was clean and plenty of chairs. Entertainment , music, theme nights & staff performance for adults was good. The water activities center has opportunities. There was not enough visual aid communications to describe the option, the staff could have provide more description to fit the wants/ needs of our family. We asked to go on listed 7 mile snorkel expedition per listed description. The agent said it was not available then directed to an AM snorkel & booby cay stop. The snorkel stop was great but we paid $$$$ only to then land at Booby Cay for lite lunch. Upon arrival there were no stands open/or available to purchase food/beverages or vendor shopping. When I asked if we could go to & mile to get food I was told no as this was the stop per itinerary. My self and (6) other guests had to wait 45min to then be sailed back to our hotel(s). Outside of that 1 x issue my family & I enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Negril.

The entertainers were so friendly and enthusiastic! The food was good in all venues. Beaches could get crowded but we could always fine some shade. Overall, we enjoyed our time there very much and were happy with the resort.

I liked everything about the property. Spa was nice. Wish i got a swim up room. I had a nice comfortable sized balcony, most of the other balconies looked very small. The only thing i didnt like is they took out their hot tub during the remodle nor did they have a bathtub in the room. I have back isses and at the very least really meeded a tub of some sort. I will not stay here again just because of that reason. When you have back issues and need to soak it is necessary for either a hot tub or bath tub.
