I’m a frequent traveler, and I have to say that this hotel is one of my favorites that I’ve stayed in due to the fantastic staff. I had never been to Germany, and upon finding my way here, Richard W greeted us with a warm smile and a helpful attitude. We literally went to Richard for everything while we were here, and he was always more than happy to help! Aleksandra was also super helpful in the evenings when we had logistical questions on where to go. Additionally, we spoke about where to travel to in Europe and the United States with her- she was fantastic! The breakfast was great in the early mornings, and we loved the cappuccino machine! The rooms were small, but super clean. The beds were comfortable and really gave us a good rest before we explored Munich and Salzburg! I will return to Munich and be staying here again! I give this hotel my highest recommendation for places to stay in Europe.

The hotel staff was so helpful. The breakfast wasn’t free but was very good. There were free drinks in the evening. 5 minute walk from the main train station. The Lufthansa AirPort Express bus station is also 5 minutes away and is extremely easy to get to and from the Munich airport especially since the train station is under construction when we travelled in November. 15 minutes walk from Marienplatz

No coffee or tea in the room, but free coffee and tea available in the lobby (and apples). There was a desk in the room, but no actual chairs, just a couple of ottomans (footstools) without backs, so it was very difficult to work at the desk for long. For a place to sleep and nothing else, it would have been fine, but if you need to work from the room (like I did) it’s not ideal. Note that this review is for Kings Hotel Central, not Kings Hotel First which is a block away and under the same ownership (very confusing).

Very clean room with everything we needed and a very friendly staff. Free coffee downstairs is uncommon in Europe, so it was a nice treat. We stayed in 3 other hotels during this trip, 2 of which were automated check in / out processes with no staff. We were glad to end our trip at a more traditional hotel with a helpful front desk staff.

Room was nice, we had to check ourselves in and activate our own room key which was alittle frustrating after a long day of traveling. The hotel offers a voucher if you don’t require your room to be cleaned after a couple of days, we liked that since we were only there 2 nights. We used our $10 voucher on drinks for our next day of traveling

We arrived at 2:45 for a 3:00 check in and our room was not ready. We were given a different room at 3:15 and the room was clean and spacious. No coffee or tea in the room but there was one free bottle of water. Only one pillow per person and they were not very comfortable. Bed was ok, but far from luxurious. When my husband rolled over it woke me up every time. Location was safe, even at night and about a 20 min walk to the old town Staff was very kind.

Poor in every way. Property is old and dated. We booked a room for 3 adults which indicated a sofa bed. When we arrived there was a very old sofa bed that had a very thin mattress. The hotel agreed that the sofa bed was not suitable for an adult only for a toddler. They kept insisting that we had booked a family room but wouldn't accommodate that we booked the room for 3 adults. On the first night they finally agreed to give my daughter a single room but they were fully booked the following night. We asked them for another mattress or additional blankets for cushioning, but when we returned late at night they had done nothing. We asked for a manager who was not at the property and unreachable. Expedia intervened but hotel claimed we had 4 people--false. The hotel worked very hard to make a difficult situation worse. As for services, we left hotel at 7am one day and asked front desk to have our room attended and when we returned at 4:30 the room was not cleaned. The desk said they are too short staffed. The bathroom/shower in the room smelt of sewer. Problems can arise but one hopes to stay at a hotel that wants to provide hospitality

The hotel is very convenient to the train station and is a lovely little property. The best thing about our stay was the staff. The entire team made us feel welcome and made sure we were happy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and thank you King's Hotel team!
