It sits among the coastal plains, forests, rivers and lakes of South Gyeongsang — nice and off the well-worn tourist trail. (We reckon you'll feel so relaxed, you'll be under the doona by sunset!)

The nation's capital city, Seoul, is situated roughly 310 kilometres to the northwest of Mulgum-ri.

Take some time out for a picnic and drink in the sights and sounds of the ocean at Haeundae Beach or Gwangalli Beach.

Mother Nature's artwork is yours to explore in multiple places around Mulgum-ri. Just 11 kilometres away, Geumjeongsan is a great place to kick off your sightseeing. Geumgang Park sits 13 kilometres away and is another nice spot for some peace and quiet.

Whether it's for some shopping or to take in the sights, travellers often take a day trip to Gyeongju, 60 kilometres to the northeast. The Gyeongju National Museum, Bomun Lake and the Bunhwangsa Temple are close by. That said, you wouldn't want to pass up Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park and Royal Tomb of Queen Seondeok either.
