It sits among the coastal plains, forests, rivers and lakes of South Gyeongsang — nice and off the well-worn tourist trail. (We reckon you'll feel so relaxed, you'll be under the doona by sunset!)

The nation's capital city, Seoul, is situated roughly 310 kilometres to the northwest of Mulgum-ri.

Take some time out for a picnic and drink in the sights and sounds of the ocean at Haeundae Beach or Gwangalli Beach.

Mother Nature's artwork is yours to explore in multiple places around Mulgum-ri. Just 11 kilometres away, Geumjeongsan is a great place to kick off your sightseeing. Geumgang Park sits 13 kilometres away and is another nice spot for some peace and quiet.

Alternatively, Kimhae-si is 13 kilometres to the southwest, and it's here you'll come across Royal Tomb of King Suro and the Gimhae Bonghwangdong Historic Site.

Whether it's for some shopping or to take in the sights, travellers often take a day trip to Gyeongju, 60 kilometres to the northeast. The Gyeongju National Museum, Bomun Lake and the Bunhwangsa Temple are close by. That said, you wouldn't want to pass up Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park and Royal Tomb of Queen Seondeok either.

It's hard to think of a better way to wander through the surrounding area than on a fun adventure. Join in on a bit of mountain climbing or hiking and get your heart pumping!

Gimhae Airport (PUS) is the nearest terminal, 16 kilometres to the south. Ensure you leave ample time to get there.
