Absolutely terrible experience. Arrived at 4pm & were told our room was just being finished by housekeeping & would be ready in 1-15 mins. We opted to leave and returned 1 hr later. were told they didn’t have the room we reserved (and paid for in full 3 weeks in advance). Front desk woman was extremely rude & condescending. were then told to wait another 10-15. Still nothing. the woman said we could just leave and go find a different hotel if we didn’t like it. The saving grace was the housekeeping supervisor, Horace, who was able to resolve the situation with grace and empathy. He brought us to our room to get settled in and then said stop down at the front desk later to put our credit card on file. Upon settling into the room there were barely any towels and the room was extremely warm despite the air conditioner running. We called the front desk and asked for more towels and a fan. Woman said they don’t have fans and that we needed to come put our card on file. We did, again she was rude. Then called our room and asked how to spell our last name. Tub fills to ankles during a shower- slow drain- gross. Candy on the floor from previous guest. Building is old and worn down. At 8:45 am housekeeping unlocked and entered our room while we were sleeping and woke us, though Checkout was 12pm. Would never recommend or return. So disappointing and front desk lady needs a new job, customer service and empathy training. Worst hotel stay by far. (Except Horace-he was fantastic!)
