And with 1,700,000 people calling the capital of Hungary home, there's loads of opportunities to make a few new BFFs. Once you've hit Ferenc Liszt International Airport and collected your bags, Mende will be a drive of 14 kilometres to the east. From the centre of Budapest, it's 30 kilometres to the east.

Continental Hotel Budapest
On entry the building is impressive and the reception staff attentive and helpful. The rooms and corridors are however very minimal and quite small. Breakfast, whilst lots of choice didnt have enough healthy options with a focus on fried foods.
