Room was great and staff very attentive. However, they have changed their shuttle route now. It is absolutely ridiculous. It drops you off behind Hyatt/Oberoi hotel and you have to take an elevator and walk so long to make it to haram. I took the shuttle once only. After that i just walked directly to Haram from hotel. Because of the ridiculous shuttle stop i will not be staying at this hotel or the Marriott infront of it.

The toiletries were of poor quality that gave me rashes. Having requested for a shower cap I got ear buds. The cleaners were nice but dishearteningly were nosey just like the breakfast staff who were keeping a watchful eye and in between coming to your table asking every few minutes how was the food was unnecessary. The omlettte requests had long queue and was a put off and scrambled eggs were tasteless

I booked and paid for a three-bedroom accommodation through Expedia. However, upon check-in, I was provided only a two-bedroom room, and the hotel informed us that they would add a third bed within the existing rooms. This makeshift bed was added later that night and was far less comfortable than the original beds. This arrangement was not in line with the booking terms and caused significant inconvenience to our trip. We paid a premium price for a premium service, but the experience and quality we received were far below that standard. the condition of the bed and the disgustingly stained duvet that was provided. Overall pathetic experience. I will not recommend anybody to book through Expedia. They couldn’t be able to sort out even after telephonic discussion with one of Expedia’s adviser, no positive response was received.

I've come to Mecca many tines, but this was my first time staying at the Double Tree Jabal Omar and I was pleasantly impressed. I would like to sincerely thank Nawaf Alyemeni who made sure my accommodations at this hotel was first class. The entire staff from the room service to the employees at the Zaffron restaurant were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning to perform umrah or haji. This hotel is new and the shopping areas are not complete, but adding more coffee shops would be great! Thank you for making me stay memorable! Mariam A
