Holidays in Manho

Been burning the candle at both ends? Desperate for a break and a few early nights? Manho might just be the ticket. It sits among the beaches, coastal plains and rivers of Gyeonggi — nice and not too touristy. (We reckon you'll feel so relaxed, you'll be under the covers by sunset!)

It's situated 70 kilometres south of the nation's capital, Seoul.

Wangsan Beach and Eulwangri Beach should be at the top of your list if you're interested in somewhere to relax by the ocean.

The peaceful sounds of nature are waiting for you at Yeonginsan Natural Forest. It sits just 16 kilometres away, so you won't have to be stuck in a car all day. Ansan Reed Marsh Park, 35 kilometres away, is another recommended option.

For a bit of exercise and the chance to frame up some terrific holiday snaps, take a walk around Sapgyoho Tourist Park.

Don't forget to pack some blue and red clothing so you can cheer on the local soccer team, the Suwon FC, at Suwon Civil Stadium. Located 40 kilometres away in Suwon, the stadium is also the home turf of the Suwon FMC WFC.

Feel the icy wind tussle your hair as you glide down the slopes at Jisan Forest Ski Resort. If you're hungry for more action, you'll also want to pack up your snowboard or skis and check out Ski World at Konjiam Resort.

Expand your horizons and find out what's happening in Pyeongtaek, 14 kilometres to the northeast. Many visitors come here for the Seobu Culture & Art Center and Gangsan Bowling Center. Alternatively, Asan is 20 kilometres to the southeast of Manho. Stop at this locality for easy access to Maeng Sa-seong House and the Onyang Folk Museum.

Go on an adventure and visit some attractions in Cheongju. This destination is 70 kilometres away and close to the Chungbuk National University, the Heungdeok Temple Site and the Cheongju National Museum. That being said, you shouldn't miss the Cheongju Early Printing Museum and Jikji Pavillion either.

Cheongju International Airport (CJJ) is the nearest terminal, 65 kilometres to the southeast. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to reach it.
