Comfy

Great location - walking distance to Atocha station, museums, park; the free 001 bus stops out front of hotel so we took that everyday to get to Gran Villa/Callao for shopping. Beds/rooms were comfy - bathroom was spacious. For the life of me I don't understand why showers in Europe are never fully encased - kept spilling water onto the floor even though I used the handheld shower head. Parking: there was a lot under the building but the entrance was off the bus lane and the ramp down is SUPER narrow! We had a van because we (group of 6) had driven in from Malaga/Granada but in hindsight, we should've just returned the car to the rental company as soon as we got to Madrid. Breakfast: Yum! Kids loved the doughnuts and the colouring books staff had set out for them. At 19euros, it was the best (and cheapest) hotel breakfast. Extra points for the candy jars and water in the lobby - thankfully they removed the candy jars in the evening so we didn't have to deal with sugar rush before bed or the whining to have candy :S Would stay again.

It was my second time in this hotel. I was upgraded this time, but to my surprise it was not an upgrade to me since I prefer a larger room to having a view. My original room was larger and I guess it had no view. Since I was only staying for one night, I didn’t bother to go back to the reception and get my original room.

My room for one on 7th floor was “just right” and had a balcony and a view over the park at Paseo del Prada. The restaurant/bar was pleasant although the excellent waiter was overworked. Special thanks and recognition for the two at the concierge desk, Julia and Alvaro.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The room was spacious and quiet. However, there was no tea/coffee maker - an unpleasant surprise from a 4-star hotel. They only offer complimentary water in the lobby till early evening. Breakfast was very good. Though one has to keep in mind that on the weekends it is available only from 8am. If you book any local tours (most start around 9am with meeting points not anywhere close to the hotel), you literally have no time to use the breakfast buffet the property offers.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Its location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Atocha Station, Museo del Prado, and Reina Sofia, so it’s perfect for exploring some of the city’s cultural highlights. There are also plenty of great food options nearby, which made dining out a breeze. While the room was a bit smaller than we anticipated, it was still very comfortable and well-appointed. One minor note: the hotel is located near a major avenue, so you can occasionally hear traffic passing by, especially if you’re a light sleeper. For us, it wasn’t a major issue, but something to consider if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid. It offers the perfect combination of comfort, location, and service!

This is a really well located hotel, with a nice lobby cafe/bar. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean and with wonderful views over the botanic gardens from those at the front. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were travelling with a dog, who was provided with a comfortable bed, bowls for food and water, and an information sheet with dog-related info, including dog-friendly restaurants in the area. One flaw is that the basic rooms do not provide any tea/coffee facilities.
