At check-in, the two people behind the desk were more interested in interacting with each other than taking the time to check me in. I was ignored for several minutes as they chatted with each other. Finally, the young woman behind the desk checked me into the hotel.
Upon arrival in my room, I noted that the hotel had left a bottle of wine and a dessert on the desk. That was a lovely touch. The hotel was quite nice. My room was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast in the morning was good.
There is a market next door to the hotel which was convenient to purchase snacks for the room or supplies needed for a day of sightseeing. The park across the street is pretty during the day, but very loud in the evening. In fact, overnight there is a fair amount of noisy activity in the area that made it hard to sleep. As a woman traveling solo on this trip, I didn't feel safe walking outside of the hotel in the evening.
If interested in public transportation, the hop-on/hop-off bus picks up directly outside of the hotel. This is convenient if you have a limited amount of time in Lisbon to tour. There is also a trolley that stops around the corner.
