We liked the hotel but noisy in the hallway with other guests talking at night. The restaurant was ok- needed to be where other restaurants are. I would stay at the other locations. Though we had access to a supermarket. Though the staff is great!

The staff were helpful and very polite. The room was large and comfortable for the length of stay. We used the public baths and sauna - all facilities were very clean and easy to use.

Close by train station. Close by restaurant, the Hotel room is so small for our family of 4 people. Around the area is good nearby everything. The only I don’t like is the room is so small, the Hotel is small area as well.

Glass toilet / shower room door gives you no privacy. Nothing to do in the immediate vicinity ( except Nijo castle) but well placed in the centre of other beauty spots for easy travel to and from. Had to pay an additional 400yen tax on arrival - not sure why, I’ve been travelling around Japan and no other hotel required this, plus I paid taxes on booking also.

Had a great stay here for 3 nights with 2 adults, 2 kids. The room was comfortable, immaculate, well equipped. My only complaint about the room would be the fridge temperature - it turned everything to ice by the morning. Great for bottles of water to take out for the day, not so much for left over snacks. We did not use the spa area although the option was available. The breakfast choices were amazing, and they managed the volume of people well. An 8 minute walk from the station, bus stop practically just outside the front door - great travel links. Really great hotel, would firmly recommend!

Was a big room and the breakfast was really good, but the completely glass bathroom door was super weird. They gave us a “privacy screen” but it didn’t cover even half the glass. Also odd for a hotel with so many foreign guests to have so many English mistakes on signs and not allow tattoos in the big bath they advertise. felt rather old fashioned.

Great Onsen - poor food

The hotel is nice enough and the public onsen fantastic. The Rooms are not well sound proofed with lots of noise from other rooms and hallway coming into the room and passing trains Food in hotel is poor. First night for convenience we paid the ¥7000 for two buffet meals and all the hot food was cold or barely warm and very low quality/quantity available. It was the first time I felt I needed to complain to the staff about something in Japan. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was ok, there are not many options nearby but once again most food was cold or like warm - but coffee on tap and great breads and topping I probably would not stay here again

-The rooms are more "American" sized. -7 minute walk from Nijo station -breakfast buffet was excellent, japanese and Western foods -right next to a 7-eleven and grocery store is just a block away -would definitely stay here again.
