The hotel was great. Rooms were clean and functional. Small, but that’s normal for Japan. Staff was excellent and helpful. Location was great. Close to the train station and easy to get around and access to food and shopping. The only gripe I had was even though the breakfast buffet states they close at 10am, they actually stop serving and taking away food at 9:30. This was not told to me when we paid for the buffet at 9:15. If we had known we only had 15 min to get food and eat, we would have opted for an alternative breakfast.

The front desk staff could be more patient with guests, especially since many of us speak different languages. Two front desk ladies seemed quite impatient when she had trouble understanding English, and her tone made the interaction very uncomfortable.

An excellent hotel. Clean, spacious, lots of gpod quality amenities, free snacks and drinks every day near reception, free bottled water in the room. Great, roomy bathroom with bath tub, shower, sink and toilet all separated. It also has a great location near the Kyoto station but a bit tucked away from the crowds which is ideal. Highly recommended!

It was great overall. Staff was nice as we arrive before check in time and was able to store our luggage. The front desk area had free beverages which was neat. The room was nice and clean, I like that the shower and bathtub were separated. The bed was comfy and I liked the controls for the lights. It was pretty romantic too. They provide free water whenever they clean the room and I like how you can choose if you want a light cleaning or full cleaning. There is also laundry station and public bathhouse which you can see on the tv in your room if they are occupied or not.
