The room wasn't cleaned properly; there was dust on the furniture on the last day. The trash wasn't taken out daily. The room felt very dark and lacked light. The staff wasn't as friendly as they usually are in Japan; it felt like they were there out of obligation. There weren't apps on the TV, and the TV information about the hotel amenities could be better, The room's space wasn't used well; it was large but felt small. The layout could be improved. The lounge is good, but they could either add certain alcoholic drinks to buy or let you bring your own. The location is perfect, just steps from Kyoto Station, convenience stores, restaurants, and the mall nearby. The public bath (onsen), gym, and massage chair are a great bonus. It stank outside the smoking room

The rooms were clean and large for Japan standards. My family and I also appreciate the free drinks in the lobby (e.g., coffee, hot cocoa, matcha) and the closets to store your luggage in case you arrived too early for check in or were leaving later than your check out time. Very close and convenient to Kyoto station! Would recommend.

Breakfast was the main highlight of this stay! I have stayed in more than 20 different hotels across Japan and this has by far been the best, in terms of quality, value, and selection. The location is also excellent, located right opposite the JR Kyoto Station, and there are convenience stores nearby if you need them at night. The free lounge coffee, tea and drinks are also welcomed. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent location if you travel from or to Kyoto Station. Excellent breakfast. Room bit small but clean. Sound proof not that good can hear from outside or outside can hear you inside the room. Will never give laundry or dry clean for them, came back not even clean or didn't try to clean. Came back the clothes with our own hair inside the clothes.
