Small hotel room but convenient

The room was small but clean. The hotel is within walking distance of Kyoto Station so it's very convenient if you want to take an early train out of Kyoto.

Great Value Stay!!!

Great value for the price. The room was perfect size for me. Would have been fine if my wife was with me, and maybe 1 child, but that's probably max. But it was clean and location was convenient. Combini in 1 minute walking distance, and many restaurants near Kyoto station. I'd definitely stay there again when back in Kyoto.

The bathroom was smaller than any other bathroom I’ve encountered in any Asian county. The toilet on the Shinkansen has better legroom. I had to use the toilet with my knees outside the open bathroom door. The ceiling of the bathroom has a duct over the shower, limiting the headroom to lower than my shoulder, and the tub is too small to sit in for anyone bigger than a child. There were other guests on my floor that were renting multiple rooms and spent their evening talking to each other loudly in the hallway, and when I asked them to be quiet and go into their rooms, they complained to the staff about me. Luckily, the staff were understanding and there were no problems, but it was still a bad experience. The staff were excellent and friendly, the problems were not the staff fault at all, the problems were the size of the bathroom and the other guests.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, which is 5 min walk from the Kyoto station. However, the room is really small, there’s no space to put your luggage, even the hallway leading to the beds is tight. The worst part is that this hotel only has 2 washer/dryer combos, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this size. Each combo takes 2 hrs to wash/dry, causing long waits for people, and what’s worse is that after 2 hrs, the clothes come out very damp, basically no drying effect. To make it worse, they put a combo lock to release the machine, so if someone is late picking up their laundry, in our case, we had to wait another 20 min for someone’s late pickup. It’s the worst amenity setup I’ve ever seen in a hotel, would not recommend this hotel unless you have no laundry to do, and don’t care about amenities in general.
