Its close to everything. Convenient with restaurants aroubd and also convenience stores within minutes. Room can be a little bit cleaner but acceptable. Staff are super friendly and very helpful.

The front desk folks were always helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The location is amazing as it was close to the Aeon shopping mall, which also has a grocery store within it. The hotel is also close to the Kyoto train station, which again is a great perk. Our hotel room was just as great as everything else. We had a kitchen, bathtub and shower, and the room was sizable to comfortably fit our family of four. We like the hotel so much that we suggested to our friends to stay here as well, on their next trip out to Kyoto.

Unassumingly Great

Fantastic stay at 22 pieces. The staff was young and energetic, ready to help in every aspect from check in to check out. Within a few blocks from Kyoto station. This is not your typical hotel. It was a much more relaxed feel with a group of down to earth young enthusiastic staff that made you feel welcomed and served. I’m not sure if complimentary umbrellas are a norm in Japanese hotels but that little added touch was such a welcomed surprise and added a simple touch but a huge need with the on again off again rain on our visit to Kyoto. On top of that they let me use their tool kit to fix my suit case that was in need of repair. Very unique and I would highly recommend it.

Great location to Aeon Mall and Kyoto station. Hotel room larger than the standard hotel, great tub to soak in and hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Marina help us get a taxi(she spoke Japanese & Spanish) explained to the cab driver our destination is the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest-got us there. Marina also mention their sister hotel - 20 Pieces also located in Kyoto will stay there on our next trip to Kyoto. 22 Pieces is in a quiet neighborhood with low rise homes narrow streets close to 711 & Family Mart. Room is equip for cooking. No staff from 11pm to 8am. Must get ice from staff before 11pm. My family of 3 gave 22 Pieces 6 thumbs up. Mahalo!!
