Yep. Wanderlust — it gets right into your soul. So, isn't it time you planned your next adventure? Kurrajong Heights awaits!
It's situated 240 kilometres to the northeast of Canberra, the national capital of Australia.
Don't forget to bring a picnic so you can indulge in a leisurely bite by the water at Bondi Beach or Newport Beach.
The serene sounds of nature are waiting for you at Three Sisters. It's located just 35 kilometres away, so you needn't be stuck in a car all day. Blue Mountains National Park, 30 kilometres away, is another recommended choice.
Get into some red and black and watch the Western Sydney Wanderers at their home ground, Parramatta Stadium. Located 50 kilometres away in Penrith City Council, it's also the place to cheer along second home team, the Parramatta Eels.
There's even more just around the corner. Hawkesbury Heights, 17 kilometres to the south, is known for the Norman Lindsay Gallery & Museum and the Muru Mittigar Aboriginal Cultural and Education Centre. Though, if the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, Mount Tomah and Yengo Sculpture Garden are more appealing, go 18 kilometres west from Kurrajong Heights to Mount Tomah.
Ebenezer, 25 kilometres to the east, is a great day trip. You can use it as a port of call when swinging by Cattai National Park, the Jubilee Vineyard Estate and Ebenezer Church. If you're still not persuaded, other close by attractions include the Tizzana Winery and the Riverside Oaks Golf Resort.
Tickets? Check. ID? Check. But have you brought your appetite? With some delectable food and drink to try in this region, it's the one thing you shouldn't leave home without.
If you're thumbing through a menu, there's every chance you'll come across meals with beef or oysters. They're two ingredients which are often used in the kitchens here.

We're sure you won't need too much persuading to indulge in some peach melba, a treat that'll make you want to pack up your bags and settle down here for good.
You can't fully understand this region until you've tried the local brew. Whether you'd like to wet your whistle or get a bit of liquid courage to mingle with new friends, order Hahn.
If the night calls for something a bit stronger, ask for Bundaberg Spiced Rum. Neat or on ice — the bartender should know the best way to drink it.
Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and Orange region Merlot are perfect accompaniments to almost any meal. You needn't be a wine authority to recognise a decent glass!
When it's time to take to the skies, give yourself enough time to reach Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD). Located 70 kilometres to the southeast from the centre of Kurrajong Heights, this is the nearest terminal.

The Archibald Hotel Kurrajong Heights
The hotel was clean but very, very basic. Not quite like the photos. Expensive for what you got.

Archibald Hotel
The check in was a breeze. As for the road access to the parking area was so bad with dangerous very large potholes. The bed was very comfortable. Thank you to the staff.
