First time guest. Nice location. No corporate rates. I asked to be switched to ground level, was told no because Expedia has me booked in upstairs and there was nothing they were willing to do. For future purposes I asked for corporate rates for teachers or anything and there was none. I checked in and realized a dirty towel was in my room. I call down, no answer but she called back and come and grab the towel despite my concerns for an unclean room she took the towel and left. No offer for room change.

Very nice king bed rooms. We stayed in 2 different rooms, both very clean and well kept. It was a bit of inconvenience to have to switch rooms, but worked out okay.

After traveling 21 hrs we checked in with a less than professional looking, nor friendly staff member. When we got to our room we found it so so for cleanliness. Dirt on the comforter, hair in the bath tub and a blood stain on the bathroom wall. We were too exhausted to ask to change rooms so cleaned ourselves. The lady serving breakfast did nothing but complain. At check out, again non professional looking staff....the lady was wearing a baseball cap. We paid for an upgraded room which I really doubt it was

We had car trouble in winnipeg and we are still in winnipeg. We never checked inn at the Comfort Inn. The staff member at kenora comfort inn seemed totally disinterested when i called. I assume based on our conversation that we will be charged full price for the room. I was unable to establish contact with anyone at expedia to see if there was anything that could be done. I understand that there are rules regarding cancelation last minute, but my concern is that no one seems to care about our situation.

Clean rooms, good choices for breakfast . Cleaning staff very nice. Did not like: When checking in we were not well received. Two people behind desk did not acknowledge us and no acknowledgement from the person in charge of checking us in also she was not welcoming at first. She did change her attitude a little at the end of checking us in.

I booked 1 night by mistake. I realized i needed 2 nights so i called the hotel. I received email confirmation for 2 nights from the hotel. Saturday afternoon i received a phonecall from a very rude staff member saying i had to move my belongs from my king size room because it was only listed as a possibility for another night. And i needed to come back to hotel now to pay for another night. Returned to hotel and paid for another night. Room wasnt ready so we took our belongs from the king size room and returned later to check into our queen size room. This was not my mistake and shouldnt have been moved from my king size room to a queen. But didnt want to argue with the rude staff memeber and obliged with her decision bevause i needed a room for one more night. All other staff were very kind and friendly. The king size room was very clean but when we got into the queen size room there was no toilet paper on the holder and there was a used bar of soap left in the shower.

The stay at Comfort Inn was enjoyable. The room was nice and clean and the area was quiet. We found the front desk staff to be impersonable and even rude at times. Friendlier customer service would have made us rate 5 stars!
