The staff were excellent, attentive, and very helpful, especially with arranging local tours. The half-day backwaters boat tour was a highlight and highly recommended, and the resort grounds were lovely and quiet. The main disappointment was the Alleppey tour, as we were not told in advance that the coir factory, museum, and palace were closed on Monday, which made the long drive less worthwhile. The driver, however, was excellent. The rooms also felt tired and in need of an upgrade, with some basic maintenance issues. Overall, while there were some very positive aspects to the stay, it did not quite meet the standard or value we expected from Taj.

Stayed there with my family of 3 on NY eve last year. The property was well maintained. While we didn’t get to try all the amenities due to the NY eve rush, the complimentary boat ride on the lake Vemnad was amazing (I would highly recommend to book in advance as it fills our fast). Food was ok. I would recommend this place who wants a quiet, family friendly place in Allepey.

Dear all at the Kumarakom Lake Resort, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your wonderful Lake Resort. Everyone at the resort, from start to finish, was ever so helpful. We especially enjoyed the gardens and the meandering pool the most. The afternoon tea in the garden and all the activities programmes arranged at the resort are excellent. The evening sunset trip on the lake and the music on the boat added to our enjoyment. A special mention of Kavi – his expertise with the camera phone was phenomenal and thought-provoking (at least to me!). Our dining experience at the multi-cuisine restaurant, with the variety of food offered and the quality of service, was amazing. Please convey our thanks to all your staff for making our stay memorable.

The room was clean but the bathroom sink was not working properly water was not going down the drain. When we told the front desk, they came and fixed right away.
