We don’t know about you, but one of our favourite things to do is explore places we've never been. So how about getting yourself to Kathu? A suburb of Thalang, you’ll find it 16 kilometres south of the downtown area. You'll be roaming its streets before you know it if you're arriving by air. The area is a journey of 20 kilometres to the south from Phuket International Airport, the closest terminal.

Kathu is a wonderland for sightseers. A good deal of the city's attractions are dotted near this appealing neighbourhood, including Patong Beach and the Big Buddha. After taking a look at those, you'll want to continue onwards to Phuket Fantasea and Surin Beach. A brilliant way to soak up this city is to wander around some of its neighbourhoods. So why not take off to nearby Kalim Beach and Nanai Road and discover their sights and sounds?

Stop at some cultural attractions to get a feel for the heart and soul of the area. The Simon Cabaret and the Aphrodite Cabaret Show are not to be missed.
