Excellent place to stay in Istanbul. Nice facilities, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and walking distance to major attractions. I would highly recommend it to visitors who come to see the major attractions in the city. Just a quick tip. If using Google Maps to locate this hotel, double check the address it gives. I entered its official name “Sultanhan Hotel - Special Class”, Google Map sent me to a completely different place. This is still the case as of January 2026

I had a lovely stay overall. The staff were warm and incredibly helpful, the breakfast was truly outstanding, and the location couldn’t be better — everything was right at my doorstep. The only downside was the bathtub, which had some visible mold and could use better upkeep. Aside from that, the experience was excellent and I’d consider staying again.

Location: 5 stars. Close to all the major attractions and in walkable distance.: Behavior of staff and quality of service: 5 stars. We were allowed an extra hour with late checkout as well. Booked the dinner cruise from the hotel and that was easy. Free breakfast: 4 stars. Good quality and gives you choices. Overall: 3 stars: The room is much smaller than what it’s advertised. Says 431 sq ft and it’s probably less than half its size which was hugely disappointing. And that was one of the reasons why we booked the hotel because of the room size. Think hotels.com needs to address these issues so that we have trust while making reservations.

Please note that in Istanbul there are 2 hotels With the same name, we ordered the shuttle through Expedia and the driver delivered us to the wrong hotel. Expedia staff please correct name in the records. Overall hotel is average. Restaurant dishes was good, staff was good, the only disappointment was that the waiter made a mistake (definitely in his favor )) in the check.
