Pictures are 20 years out of date. This was a dirty, not well maintained hotel with NO AIR CON IN 30C+temps. Avoid at all costs. I was completely mislead by pics and other “reviews”

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely roof terrace with view of the sea of Mamara. We went there to eat our great hotel breakfast 5-6 cute cats run around. Very close to Sultanamet hippodrome and the Blue Mosque. Quiet at night, so overall a great place to stay. Can highly recommend.

Book it!

Not usually someone who write reviews, but Rumours deserves it! Great location for Sultanahmet sights, nice spacious room (we had a triple), fantastic Turkish breakfast, and staff that went above and beyond to help when my bag was late arriving after it was left behind by my airline. Would whole-heartedly recommend! I do a lot of research when booking accommodations so I hope this can help others coming to Istanbul!

Absolutely loved this hotel. Lovely room- we had a standard double. Clean, great breaiabd friendly staff. No negative points at all. Very near all the attractions and reasonably priced restaurants on the doorstep. We particularly liked the Pasta and pizza place-Ozi's. Lovely root top terrace to relax on too.

Its location is good being close to the Blue Mosque etc. My room was a little tired but definitely adequate. Just be careful about the restaurant recommendation you might get from reception. The one I got was expensive and there are cheaper options close by.

Rumours Inn, A Writers Dreamland!

Lets start from the entrance and it was the most warmest and coziest lobby in whole istanbul, period. I will explain the pro and growth opportunities below: pro: 1. View from the room, 2. Distance to All the locations 3. Staffs are friendly, still remember Mesut, Kareem and other amazing people and their service [they give good recommendations, just ask] 4. Great breakfast, 5. Clean room and perfect temperature! Growth opportunity: 1. Bathrooms are very cramped, 2. Stairs are very narrow. 3. High end rooms are smaller than expected! Overall, I will choose Rumours Inn at any day over any other places in Istanbul
