While check-in was easy, it just was rushed and unlike
Most check ins The overall state of the place looks very tired and dated. Definite improvements can be made to the grounds in terms of trimming up bushes trees to make it more appealing on the exterior. The rooms were tiny and very old. Having said that the bed was very comfortable with what appeared to be fairly new linens as were the towels in the bathroom. However, the bathroom was small and there was an odour to the room
We had a great stay! The staff were knowledgeable and kind and recommended a number of great spots to check out. Checking in and out was very easy and flexible!
I stayed in Room 4 for a one-night stop near the Ingonish Beach area. The location is very convenient, and the price is reasonable for the area. Room 4 has its own balcony with a beautiful ocean view, although access to the balcony is only through a side path outside the room, which was a bit inconvenient.
The air conditioner in the room seemed to have an issue—it was blowing hot air from the back, which caused the room temperature to rise to 30°C, so I had to turn it off. The water pressure in the bathroom was also quite weak. For a short stay, this was manageable, but it might be uncomfortable for a longer visit.
I was especially looking forward to trying the on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed during my stay. I had to drive about 10 minutes back to the main street for dinner.
Overall, it’s a decent place for a brief stay, especially given the view and location, but there are some improvements that could enhance the guest experience.
The cabin was beautiful and clean with a fantastic view from the balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing a list of places we could go for food nearby as it was still early in the season and their attached restaurant was still closed.
Great little cabins with comfy bed, refrigerator, microwave, dining table for two, sofa etc. dishes and cutlery for 2. Stayed in a renovated “sunset cabin” which had a great view across the water from inside and deck with an bbq. Effective heat pump wall unit and baseboard heaters..very important in May lol. Unless the restaurant is open, dining options are 6 km into town so we brought microwaveable dinners which was perfect. Defintiely recommended.
