The location was excellent. Super central, was able to go everywhere on foot. Laundromat right across the road and cafe were handy. Aldi’s around the corner. So close to the river. Was able to walk/run along there daily.
Was good having a sink in my room so I didn’t need to go to the shared bathroom every time.
When owners were around and I let them know what was needed, they got onto it straight away. Was pleased that I was allowed to check in early.
The common room was very basic. Would have been good to have at least an electric kettle and maybe some hot plates to cook on. Also some cups/plates/bowls and cutlery would have been useful.
Very noisy at times, especially during the end of the week into the early hours. Could hear loud music or drunk ppl fighting/swearing outside my window. Also sometimes people were up 5/5.30am - checking out early (stomping around and slamming doors). Often had broken sleep. Week days it’s much quieter.
This place is ideal for a short-term stay if you are passing through as it’s in the CBD and so central to everything. I wouldn’t recommend it for longer term stays - a bit challenging without cooking facilities and no opportunity to make hot drinks in the common room.
