I absolutely loved the service and the beautiful hotel! The experience felt like that of a large, upscale resort, yet the personalized attention made it feel warm and intimate—just like a boutique hotel. The food was excellent—especially the poke nachos, wings, fish & chips, and short ribs. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.

The hotel has beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs for free. The pool/bar area is very clean with limited pool seating however, who goes to Hawaii to sit by a pool. The restaurant offers an outstanding selection of food. My favorite for breakfast was the mochi pancakes. The hotel also offers a great valet service that makes parking stress free in the Honolulu area.

The biggest issue was on our second booking which was arranged months in advance was limited to a second story, noisy, no patio room right above the entrance because we were told it was the only one available with a King/Queen bed. Strict/unreasonable cancellation policy, esp for already struggling Kama aina. They didn’t accommodate a refund for a stomach bug without a doctor’s note, though there were no appointments available. They first had me in room 911 which was a hidden room behind frequently used supply closets, it wasn’t welcoming so I asked to change rooms and was put on the 6th floor. The noise of the highway was there and also the hotel? But with ear plugs it is not bad, they clearly rec this complaint often as they provide some. The parking situation and even pull up situation is way too tight of a squeeze, and there’s not a whole lot of room to move your luggage about the lobby. I actually enjoyed my room itself; AC worked well and it was pretty well cleaned aside from some dust on the chairs. No roaches! Close to Waiks. Kama’aina, I’d go elsewhere. Great for visitors though.

Fantastic!!!! Wonderful hotel with charming decor, nice hotel rooms, friendly staff, beautiful pool area, and great onsite dining. Highly recommend! Just a short walk to the beach. We loved escaping the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and felt like the Wayfinder offered a relaxing oasis!

Extremely disappointing experience at Wayfinder Waikiki. Despite being a premium-priced hotel listed on Amex Hotel Collections, the service was shockingly unprofessional. My girlfriend and I arrived after a long early flight, and although we called the hotel multiple times (10:09am, 1:20pm, 1:27pm), our room was still not ready by 2:30pm. While the standard check-in time is 3:00pm, we had specifically requested early check-in in advance—a common accommodation many hotels are willing to make. To make matters worse, we saw other guests checking in around that time—some even earlier—which made it clear that other rooms were available. Yet we were left waiting without any effort to prioritize our request. We were exhausted, just hoping for a quick shower and some rest, but were met with dismissive and unempathetic service at the front desk. One staff member, Dillen, stood out in the worst way. Instead of offering any real assistance, she simply repeated that the room wasn’t ready—showing no initiative to help or escalate the issue. Her cold and indifferent attitude made an already frustrating situation feel worse. The room itself was disappointing: it was extremely noisy due to street traffic and lacked basic amenities like a microwave. We had to specifically request one, and even that took extra time than initially promised to arrive. For a hotel in this price range, this is laughable. I paid $757 for 3 nights, and this is one of the most expensive hotel I’ve stayed—yet the
